Not really, which is why this free agency class blows.

But doesn't overpay. Poile is way smarter than a lot give him credit.

And the biggest problem is managment. It is not good to be to right all the time.

You never know. Jagr has a hard worker's mentality. He puts in everything he has. If he visits, see how the coaching staff demands hard work from its players and likes it anything could happen. He did go to Dallas, after all.

The only places I'm seeing us getting mocked for this one is with folks who wanted to sign Horton themselves. Pretty much everybody else is chipping in with variants of "damn, guess the Jackets are for real now."

This whole being the trendy favorite of everybody thing is weird. Dunno what to make of it.

Fingers crossed that one of the decent under-the-radar types makes it to Nashville.

You know we've come on bad times when Columbus looks better on paper than us.

We are officially the red headed stepchild of the NHL. Ribeiro signed with Phx for crissakes! Anyone want to place a bet on how long Shea is going to put up with this? Our reputation as a low budget franchise has come home to roost.

didn't the jackets do the same thing about 10 years ago signing Foote and a bunch of other UFAs??

someone give Poile my number. I've played a bit of center in my day.

Definitely not a defensive center either.

Wow, I think you incorporated every sky-is-falling cliche of our franchise in one post.

Inferior franchise? Check

Our captain/star player being unhappy and wanting out? Check

We're cheap and will never be able to shake that mantra? Check

Seriously, you were one "I bet the franchise relocates" away from hitting this one out of the park for generic, over-reactionary doom and gloom.
