I saw someone tweeted into TSN that the Rangers should go after Viktor Stalberg. We could definitely use the LW and he could potentially be our second line LW.
Thoughts?

Also, what about a trade of Staal for Bobby Ryan and a prospect or two? Close on salaries and Rangers get scoring. Anaheim has their "Del Zotto" in Fowler, but Staal would help them. Just throwing around a scenario.

Yeah I think it's good. Let the new coach get acclimated to what he has, assess what we have in the system, and then retool through some trades. Make a FA splash (if we must) next year after BR is cut.

They were waived. No one claimed them. They are still Rangers. They are not going to be bought out.

That's the nature of a free agency though. And when the deals are all awful, doesn't that kinda become the new normal and make them all "decent" deals? I hear ya though...some rough deals out there.

Penguins have about 30 cents worth of cap space remaining and several RFAs to sign. Hard to imagine trade isn't coming at some point.
Who's moving?

So Clowe, coming off of a season where he had almost as many concussions as goals, gets a bigger contract than Lecavalier? That's comically bad. LOL New Jersey.

Yeah no problem. Another banned source was saying that the deal was done and terms would be announced soon, too.
