I'll laugh if this turns into Fucale/Ramo trade long term.

This is going to be comical beyond epic proportions. Watch them tie up 12 million annually in third liners.

Leafs finishing up on Bozak. 5 yrs under $4.5 per. Toronto also waiting for work from Clarkson on a 7 year offer. #TSN

How about the 46 million dollar contract for Zajac?
5 years at almost 5 mil per for Clowe who scored 3 goals last year.

Lou is hurting the Devils these days.
Yet he's been one of the most successful GM's in hockey.

That's a lot for a guy who hasn't played in the league in 3-4 years, and that was as a backup...

Did good enough in the KHL but...

Heh, 2 years, term isn't bad.

Sadly, I agree that the Leafs are much tougher and grittier than the Habs.

Adding Bernier, Bolland and Clarkson

vs

Briere

Pretty easy to see who has actually improved.

Typing too fast. Leafs waiting on word from Clarkson on 7 year deal. Interested in AAV...sounds like less than $6 mil per. We'll see.

Drafting and developping are so impoartant because of the cap system. 10 years ago you could just keep spending like NYR Phillie and Detroit till you had a powerhouse.

Do you think 10 years ago CBJ gets Horton?
Yes they gave him too much term, but pre cap somebody would have easily outbid them.
And that's truly why the salary cap system exist...

It's not to act as a black cloud over teams as so many fans suggest. It's to allow all teams to compete from a financial point of view.

Bolland was a shrewd pickup by the Leafs, he's a gamer.

They did well, I like the Bernier and Bolland move, but Clarkson long term IMO will be a decision they're going to regret

And we did get bigger, DD is 5'7 compared to Briere being 5'10
