While not a leading player in the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup championship, Stalberg is an extremely interesting winger. Much as with Horton above, he has been one of the better puck-possession guys on a consistently excellent team across multiple years. If you check over at HockeyAnalysis.com, you'll see that over the last three seasons with the Blackhawks, all the top guys put up better results with Stalberg than without him.
Wilson should not be moved to C. He'll stink there with his D game.
He can't improve? Plus, he's only 1 guy on a 3 player unit. Put a defensive option on one wing and suddenly it's not as big of a risk. Trotz said he would have been a center this year if it were not a shortened season anyway.

I like the deal for Stalberg. We have too many centers now I wonder if there is a trade in the works. We still haven't signed Spaling I wonder if we are going to trade him. Cullen and Stalberg both play PK don't they?
I think you're just looking for reasons to be unhappy with free agency so far. That's fine, but let's see how he plays here shall we? Grasping at reasons to think he's going to be awful isn't any better than grasping at reasons to think he saves our offense.
