No. If a player like Taylor Pyatt is in our starting lineup our starting lineup isn't good enough. I want a forward core with 12 NHL players is that so much to ask.

I made no mention of Mike Rupp, but tell me does a straw man wear straw pants?

The problem is still there. Should we just concede that it will never go away?

Pierre just talked about someone offers sheeting McDonagh, Pietrangelo or Wheeler.

Do you know how to make a point?

If the rangers don't have ability to add the skill Chicago does, how do you figure they have the ability to add the toughness and size Boston does?

Rangers are not a small team, nor do they lack toughness, if you are comparing them to Boston and Chicago then they lack talent and skill.

Adding a heavyweight who can't play to the 4th line lowers skill and increases toughness, does that make them a better team?

What people fail to realize with the Boston Bruins is that they're just a plain more skilled team. They're easily top 5 talent wise, hence their absurdly high goal totals.

I don't understand. Every year, people want to model the team after the two teams who played in the finals.

This team went to the ECF, and then lost in the 2nd round without arguably our best defender and our big money C getting benched.

We have the talent to win the Stanley Cup.

There is not one way to win the Cup. All the moves don't need to be made today. I doubt this is the team we enter the season with.

Do the Bruins have a better 4th line than us? Yes. Do the Hawks have more skill than us? Yes. Do the Flyers have better forwards? Yes. The list goes on and on.

Bottom line, we have Henrik Lundqvist, which means that every year, if we get in the playoffs, we have a legitimate shot to win the Stanley Cup.

The Matteau's and Noonan's can be picked up later for depth, etc.

We don't have to be the Boscago BruHawks.

And you're right. Increasing skill would push guys like Haglin to the bottom 6, improving both things at the same time.

Our 4th line wasn't the problem. Playing 4th liners on 2nd and 3rd lines, was.

I would take a player that plays " too hard " any day

I disagree. I still believe the Rangers #1 priority is skill level.
The Rangers have no defenseman on their roster who will move people from in front of their net.

Asham and Haley are good for 3-5 minutes a night. Neither PK's. One dimensional.

Oh wait, according to slipknottin, I want GoOnSZ!

THEY DON't HAVE TOP BE A HEAVYWEIGHT.

Why is that so hard to understand? Go get another Dorsett. Someone at least willing to drop the gloves would be nice.

Bingo.

Staal and Girardi can throw huge hits, and Mac is no slouch either.

Didn't you just bash Dorsett as "only a welterweight"?
