Brutal overpayment for him. Free Agency is so goofy, after the Huet debacle and Campbell overpayment I'm glad Stan doesn't lose his mind like these other quacks. Tallon, Holmgren, Etc.

I know Stan was here when that happened but he didn't run the show back then.

It has to be Zibanejad+ for Ryan.

OK, it was not Zibanejad.

Am I crazy to think Anaheim probably could have gotten a hair more for Ryan? Silfverberg is a good, young talent, Noesen is a good prospect, and the first-round pick is of a playoff team.

I think Anaheim gets good value, but I am surprised that's the best offer they got. Is it an offer worth taking? Yes, but I am surprised that's the deal that got it done.

They probably asked for a crazy amount from Western Conference teams.

It made too much sense, and that is why it didn't happen.

I am shocked Zibanejad didn't go to Anaheim. For Murray, it's not a steal, but it's a damn good trade.

Anaheim will not be as strong as last year that is for sure. And maybe no Selanne too. It will be a different team.

I wonder if this means Boyle is on outs in NY?

If Rangers aren't looking for much that could be nice for Hawks 4th line

Should still be decent

And they might go after Grabovski to fill there #2 C spot (A hole they have had for a few years now)

It's two good young players and a late first for a premier goal scorer entering his prime. Ottawa did great. The Ducks not so much.

Since 2008, Bobby Ryan has scored more goals than the following players: Crosby, Heatley, Malkin, Hossa, Kane, Eriksson & Hossa.
Dude, I agree. I also think it's a great trade for Ottawa. Some are calling it a steal. Noesen has put up some good numbers, and Silfverberg has definitely shown some promise.

David Poile is so damn overrated.

He just spend $9 million on Cullen, Stalberg, and Nystrom. Who is scoring the goals in Nashville?
