Moore has burned us on several occasions. Hope he still has something left in the tank. 1 mill ain't bad.

Moore and Boyle. Let the hot player play on the 3rd line, then switch depending on who is playing better.

Like this signing a lot, especially considering what Hendricks got. Boyle-Moore-Dorsett sounds good to me.

I'd say that Gordon contract is just pure ****. No way a fourth liner that can win a faceoff here and there carries a $3 million price tag.

can't see boyle and moore fit here - figure lindberg has a spot to lose

Haglein Stepan Nash
Zucc Brass Cally
Richards Moore Kreider
Dorsett Lindberg Miller
???

Too many centers, with Boyle and even without him

How is this a bad deal? Even if his head still isn't in the game, he's only signed for a year at 1 million.

He'll provide some goals, help the PK, win face offs and get under other teams' skin.

Halpern was brought in to win faceoffs. Moore does much more for the team.

We don't know that. But, exactly like the Halpern signing, there is no risk attached to this.

I'm shocked--SHOCKED--to hear you say that! What an unpredictable response!

Seriously though, if the year off didn't hurt his game, he's a good addition. We'll see. One year deal, if it doesn't work we're done with him.

Hopefully he gets back up to speed. He can be a real pain in the ass to play against. What I don't want to see again is a 4th line that contributes absolutely nothing ever to the scoresheet. Halpern and Powe were just decent pk'ers and nothing else. We do need more guys who can do dirty work--like penalty kill--just like fighters though they have to be able to do other things than just their specialty.

I'm just thrilled that I don't have to watch Boyle line up at center anymore.

Not to be underestimated, but the more players a team has that are good on face-offs, the more teams can "cheat" on face-offs because they are not afraid to be tossed out of the circle. That is no small thing.
