Hoping for 50 with solid two-way play. Would settle for 40. Could be as low as 30, but I think it'll most likely be 40.

I just wish Therrien ****ing wakes up and put Eller on the PP instead of Desharnais. Use Eller as a 2nd liner for real.

If you take Desharnais off the PP you've basically taken away half his value. Only hope is to shelter him, give him tons of PP time and then trade him when his value is at it's highest.

What he should get:
2nd line minutes, PP time: 50-60pts

What he might get:
3rd line minutes, no PP time: 40ish

Hope MT realizes that he's ready for the top6.

He's not even that good on the powerplay, the vast majority of his points come on ES. I'd much rather we develop Eller correctly and give him more opportunities and well deserved playing time than worry about Desharnais' value. If Eller still outplays him this season, which he probably will, he should be our 2nd line center.

40-50 is good reasonable expectations to have.

He's not going to have a significant raise in production because he still won't play the pp.

I assume Eller is healthy and ready to rock at the beginning of the season.

Any chance he will be playing top 6 minutes?

Bergevin did screw up big time with desharnais... I just hope the midget can play like a man... and reacts like a man after a pathetic and shameful post-renewal performances. Cause there is no way neither of plekanec eller or galchenyuk should suffer from his contract. If desharnais somehow comes back with a 65pts season I will tolerate him until he gets moved.

What if he plays more than them? including PP

Last season he was on pace for 54 points over a 82 games season.

I would be thrilled if he puts up 30-30 but I voted 50-60pts. Shouldn't be too hard with the way he seemed to have been progressing as the season wore on.

But we mostly expect him to see some tougher minutes this year. Combined with the fact that it's doubtful he gets much more PP time...

16g - 29A - 45 points

Mostly because he won't see much powerplay time and will probably have to face tougher opposition than last season considering the downgrading of the "4th" line.

Some should temper their expectations a bit, I saw a poster saying he would be disappointed if he didn't get 50+ points... he's probably going to play 3rd line center, and 3rd line centers rarely put 40+ points nowadays, so unless one of DD or Plekanec (DD please... ) gets traded, don't expect much more than 0.5PPG...

Eller scored 30 in 46 games playing 3rd line minutes mostly with at least one rookie. Very little PP time. With that said, I see 60 points or more. He has size, speed, surprising grit and skill, not to mention hockey sense. His "breakout season" happens in 13-14

DD can be moved to the wing for the PP. It's all about cycling the puck and moving around anyways. I don't see why Eller can't get some time there over guys like Bourque or Gionta. I just don't trust Therrien.
