Two 3rd and two 4th you mean?

It has been suggested that we are hiring Sir Alex and moving to a new 1-2-2 style game in honor of EPL football joining the NBC sports network stable.

One striker, two holding mid-icers and two central defenders. Hockey will never be the same.

Nashville usually manages to find a way to win games even if it means loaded up the walls around Rinne. Realistically, Nystrom's been pretty solid in Dallas based on limited viewings and what I've read over the season. The cap hit is solid for what he brings, defensive play, grittiness, some points and leadership. At least you know what his role is going to be, it's defined, hopefully allowing some of the offensive talent to have more protected offensive zone minutes.

I'm sorry, I'm a big Nyzerman fan. But that is an absolutely horrific contract for someone who was on waivers not too long ago. Don't be fooled by his big goal scoring in Dallas, that's a aberration, he's a forth liner, who will never hit 20 goals.. Eric Nystrom, 10 million dollar man.. Wow

As a Preds fan this is to much money. Poile must think are young forwards like Colin Wilson, Taylor Beck, Gabriel Bourque, Filip Forsberg, Branden Leipsic, and Patrick Cehlin are going to be big time scores. I'm thinking the pick ups today with the exception of Stalberg and possibly Cullen are just PK and back ups for when someone get hurt. All the injuries killed us last year. So Nystrom IOM was just to add grit for the grind

The guy does not stop skating.

He had a bad year offensively last year, but he could be good for 20 goals if he figures things out again. He usually scores at key junctures of the game on individual effort plays. Great 3rd line guy.

Wish him the best of luck in Nashville
As I said, he's likable. He does bust his ass. He's just not that good at hockey for an NHL player. He is constantly outshot (by other bottom 6 players), he averages somewhere around .2-.25 points/game, and is a general liability on the ice.

I've seen more of him as a Flames fan than most people have, and yes he does have "Nyzerman" moments where he looks like he's got a little more, but those moments are few and far between. This dude should barely be making seven figures (if that), much less 2.5 million.

With Cooke now in the new conference, and also Max Lapierrier, I have no problem with this. Get ready for some bruising hockey in this new conference.
