Since we are talking Quebec born players, I think Paul Stastny should receive some consideration.

Beauchemin should be first pairing defenceman...And I should be on the 4th instead of Dags.

Brodeur has said in the past that he would not play for team Quebec... I'm sure there are others listed on your team that wouldn't either.

Off the top of my head I can think of only two other Quebec born d-man, Robidas and Bourdon. The QMJHL has some splainin to do.

I read that Bourdon isn't Quebec born.

Don't think that matters...I think as long as a player can provide a parent or grandparents' birth certificate that states that they were born in "Quebec"... They could play for "Quebec"... At least that's the way it works with other sports.

(Bouillon was born in New York, Heatley was born in Germany).

So Luongo or Fernandez could have chosen to play for Italy if they wanted to.

I don't think this is meant to be an Olympic team, but rather just a general team of Quebec players.

Well, maybe his parent WEREN'T born in Quebec?

I'd like to point out that there's a french community in Eastern Canada, especially in Shippagan, NB, which is essentially a french (acadian) town.
BTW, I'd take only one of Bergeron(M-A) or Brisebois in the team, and Beauchemin would be in.

I'd make a case for Kris Letang, though.

I love Pominville and Vermette, but I'd but Bernier ahead of them on the third and have one of them play on the 4th, put Dags where he belongs in the NAHL, Ribeiro to Europe and have either Éric Bélanger or Ian Laperrière center the 4th line.

Defense is weak, but we can trade one of our goalies(Denis) for one of Sask's defensemen(Redden, Sarich, Staios, McLaren)

edit: forgot, put Bergeron ahead of Bouchard easily...Bouchard in press box.

From what i've hear Bourdon's familly is Acadian. So none of his ancestors are fropm Quebec.

What's the point? There's no way we can beat the top 3 teams. This is pointless.

Let's stop this insanity and focus on the habs!

Actually what I was trying to tell.. No use in getting to Shippagan, unless you actually live there

LOL!!

I never laughed so much in my life..
I told my friend Dagenais career stats, along with Bergeron and Bernier..and said Bergeron and Bernier can score just as much as Dagenais if not more because they know how to skate.. this is his response to me and a couple of other ppl..

"Ok let me clear this up for you idiots

1: Statistics mean ****
Kovalev had really amazing statistics for a couple of years
of course.. he played on the penguins with Lemieux..

then his stats went down a bit when he went to NY.

so i don't care about your stats.

2: I never said Dagenais would click with anyone better than Bergeron or Bernier would, the hell's the matter with you

3: How the f* do you know its a **** strategy? have you tried it? How would you know it wouldnt work?

It's not hard..... Dagenais has an amazing amazing shot, Ribeiro can make passes.
1-2- score.

You guys would make **** coaches.

here, ill even make the first line Laraque-Worrell-Blouin
we'll win by pure intimidation."

Why doesn't Quebec just subcede back to France, so they can have Huet, too? It would certainly improve the Goaltending depth. (Fernandez < Huet IMO)

This is fantasy, after all, and then Huet wouldn't be stuck, like Aebischer, on a crap national team.

Does the crap D have anything to do with the offensive nature of the Q? Or it could be the ground roots systems focusing on scoring instead of defense.
[edit: this is conjecture, not based on personal knowledge]

There is some interesting prospect on D for Québec, Bourdon, Letang, Vlasic.. we never know. Even Mathieu Carle, our prospect.

I don't think the goaltending depth would be a problem for a team Quebec.
