Assuming Sill makes the roster as the 13th forward though it can just as easily be Scrabbles. I think Shero will sign at least one Vet dmen, hopefully one who is good on the PP.
The top-six is very small.

I'm more worried about if it can score than how big it is.

I doubt that Harry Z has the offensive ability to be a top-six forward. Perhaps Nick Palmeri could be a decent pick-up.

People are complaining about signing Chris Conner? Unless we are ravaged with injuries he will never even see the big squad. Even if he does it will be for a couple of games at most.

Same deal with signing Eaton, was supposed to be 7-8th d-man, became a line-up mainstay in short order. I'll be surprised if Conner doesn't get in at least a dozen games for the Pens this year, though he would be an improvement over Glass.

Eaton at one time was a good NHL D-man. Conner was never that & I seriously doubt he's high on our depth chart. Out of all the moves today to complain about this has to be pretty low on the list.

Bobby Sanguinetti fits the bill IMO.

I dont mind the signing if Conner stays in the AHL. But knowing shero/Bylsma hes probably in STRONG consideration to play on the 3rd line on the NHL team ;(

Yes. It's terrible. None of them are even close to NHL ready yet and Payerl in a Penguins uniform is just cringe-worthy.

This made my night. Could Bobby Farnham possibly be in the NHL this year? OMG.

You can't tell me that you don't want to see this guy jump Claude Giroux.

Giroux would probably beat him in a fight and I'd rather not encourage teams to jump Sid or Geno.

They have to sign a vet Dman right? No way they go into the season with Samuelsson being the most experienced guy...

He totally rules. WBS started last season kind of flat and Farnham joining the team was a massive boost of energy. For a guy who can't score he's totally electric.

It's worth noting that was the only fight he won all year, though.

I know, but he did fight Kurtz and Rosehill. He had no fighting experience before this past season and he ended up with over 30 fights I believe. I'm willing to be that he has been working on his fighting and such.

Payerl is a solid player that brings size and grit while being surprisingly decent with the puck.

I didn't think much of the signing when it happened, but it wouldn't surprise me if he made a run at a roster spot in the near future.

And Farnham is a legend in the making. He wouldn't jump Giroux, but with some of the little things he does, you might see Giroux jump him.

His whole summer is a classic training montage, I bet. Right now he's punching slabs of meat in a barn in Alaska.

His summer training regimen consists of him saving peoples' lives.

Yes, Conner. He'll forever be haunted by his shoot out gaff, but I appreciate him.

Not that he was expected back or anything, but Trevor Smith has signed with Toronto. Will play for the Marlies.

EDIT: Wow, according to Capgeek, Smith actually got a one-way deal.
