Only a try-out

Didn't see anything about that, he signed a contract with the Habs in May

F. Simonelli
C. Sullivan

So nine possibilities the first five probable, here are three UFA's;

C.Teubert
A.Plante
T.Wishart

All three are former 1st round picks that have had NHL tryouts and to varying degrees haven't cut it and could be great for the Bulldogs, a couple of them couldn't hurt.

Then the offence could use a little infusion of tough, bigger forwards with Exp.;

Centers:
Nick Tarnasky
Ben Maxwell
Mitch Wahl
None are tough but can play at AHL level really well.

Forwards;

JF Jacques - LW - Enforcer and capable AHLer.

Jack Skille - RW - PWF - former #7 OV pick of Chi., and a great call-up for the Habs for injuries or playoffs. Good Exp. and tough to play against like Jacques, Teubert, Plante.

These players could help round out an AHL team like Hamilton with so many smaller rookies. The trade for C.Thomas is outstanding, hopefully Leblanc and Naatinen come back like gangbusters for the Bulldogs and lead them into the Calder Cup Playoffs.
Sullivan is a huge stretch. Did he even play in the top 4 on his college team last year.

NJ fans were mad because he did is job again Washington. (like White this year, except that PL3 did it in a blowout game).........In fact, Pl3 is probably one of the best enforcer you can have

No re-call waivers any more... only if he gets sent down. I think he would be an excellent fit for a 4th line RW in Montreal. Good size, uses the body and scores the odd goal

Nice article in the Gazette about Nygren today. I liked what I saw at the development camp. He plays alot more physical than I was expecting. He is 23 and said he wanted a change and wanted to try to make the NHL.

We have a nice group of D prospects in Hamilton. I imagine many of them will get NHL games in.

Tinordi
Ellis
Beaulieu
Pateryn
Nygren

That's some nice D depth to have on the farm. Hopefully we can develop these guys on the fly!

On the first day, I saw no physical play, though nothing suggested to be physical except for Pateryn. So I can't wait to be there tomorrow morning to see the scrimmage.

no, he's playing in North America next season, Habs or Hamilton.

Sullivan was the 6th D and got very sheltered minutes. He's going back to BC next season.

If Leblance regains form, we could have something here... The big question? Can Lefbreve handle all of this "character" that is being injected to Hamilton.

If the Dogs suck in 13/14 it's ALL the coach IMO, no excuse.

Hmm, I'm normally not one for getting on these FIRE FIRE FIRE bandwagons, I go completely against it often out of spite, but I see something to this one.

I do have my doubts about Lefebvre, but not enough evidence IMO to cry for his head. But another year in the tank? Then I'm getting concerned and maybe I'll join the rebellion, hah. Should be a noted improvement IMO as the pieces fall together. They are really digging to get out of the basement. Which sounds counter intuitive but you know what I mean. But I'd love to see they made a good choice in this guy, I don't relish knowing the organization screwed up like some seem to. I want to believe we'll see something different this year and I'll let the season speak for itself to support or quell that.

Is Collberg not slated to be in Hamilton this year? I like the signings but the Dogs still need to add a veteran or two on the defence. Would like to see another guy added upfront as well but it looks better than last season.

If Geoffiron somehow got back that would be massive but I doubt that will happen. Just hope he gets well.

I think it's more hoping the coaches failed than the Habs prospects.
