That's awesome. I really liked him in the Memorial Cup. Just a great down low presence. He can be the Habs version of Dwight King or Jordan Nolan.

Undrafted overager, these guys rarely pan out. 6'3 212 pound captain of the Memorial Cup winners has some intrigue though.

Basically trade yesterday ends up being Fournier and Parros for Lefebrve and a 7th since we opened up another contract spot... looks good to me.

Good news, at the very least he'll be able to help the Dogs.

Once WTK and CS find out they'll probably be all kidding.

I think Whitesnake really wanted this guy signed, too, but I could be mistaken.

Could be that I'm slow, but how did trading Lefebvre for Parros and a draft pick open up a roster spot?

Yes, because I overreacted by saying he could be a 3rd line guy that can get 20-30 points in an NHL season? Clearly I need to calm down.

Basically, I think he's a 3rd liner at worst in the AHL. If you look at the Dogs depth chart...they basically have like 8 forwards right now, so signings are needed.

He could be a hidden gem in terms of NHL potential. I also liked him quite a bit at the Memorial Cup.

And he's big. And a local kid.

Lack of first name in thread title makes him sound like one of these celebrities who uses one name.

Cher, Drake, Fournier.

Looks good to me. The only question is whether he will play for Hamilton, or Wheeling. Wheeling i would think, no?

Edit: I see that Hamilton only has 8 forwards? Which could be a sign we see Fournier in Hamilton.

I'm a fan of Fournier, good signing.

Big, strong, hard working player AND he can fight. Pretty good scorer too, but I don't see him becoming point producer in the NHL.

More than likely Hamilton.

I forgot the poster, but someone who watches the Mooseheads said they remembered a game where a player went after MacKinnon, Fournier stepped in and after the fight MacKinnon gave Fournier a big hug and the team (Mooseheads) were all pumped.
