Habs have spoken with Jagr

http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Hockey/NHL.../20955521.html

"Jaromir always wanted to play in Montreal," Svoboda told TVA Sports. "We discussed with [CEO] Marc Bergevin [Friday]. The interest is mutual, but the decision is now up to the Canadiens."

I say no thanks.

I say why not? I think Jagr would look great finishing his career and a Stanley Cup winning Montreal Canadiens

For nostalgia reasons, even at his age, it would be a dream come true to see Jagr in a Habs jersey. And I'm sorry, when a player like Jagr WANTS to play for the CH, you find a way to get it done, even at his age.

1 year, assuming between 2.5 and 3 million? Get it done, Bergy.

You don't get Jagr for his stats... you get Jagr for what he brings to the team... He's a good vet to have.

10 assists, generated 58 SOG (2.6 shots a game) which is 4th on the team.

Not really what we need but that's really not a good way to judge a players quality.

How many goals did Seguin get?

Would you want Seguin?

Plus if we miss the playoffs, we trade him to Boston for a 1st round pick.

Everyone keeps saying him and Pleks will tear it up.. Yeah they chemistry, and yeah they might tear it up on the PP.. but Jagr cant handle Plekanec minutes at this point.

We'd have to make a trade.

Pacioretty, Plekanec, Desharnais, Bourque, Gallagher, Galchenyuk, Eller, Gionta, Briere, Prust, Moen, Parros and White. 13 not including Jagr.

While I'd love to see him playing with Plekanec, I'd love to see him teach Galchenyuk and Eller the beast mode.

Doubt he comes over rumor is his desired term is 2 years plus 1 optional, I don't see the Canadiens offering that. Its likely 1 year or nothing

On even strength yes but on the PP it would be very nice.

I really only see this being possible if Desharnais is traded though. We already have a "power play specialist" log jam.

No one is going to sign him to a two year deal.

A signing like this reeks of desperation. Stay the course Marc.
