Kings ended up getting 2 2nds from the Blazers for Robin Lopez. Move saves the team 5.5 mil off the cap and now they have 12+ to spend.

I wouldn't say that. They have some nice pieces, and I'm going to hope against hope that Cousins has finally matured because he'll be a monster down low with a guy like Vasquez penetrating and dishing off.

The team needs a 3, badly.

Hopefully this means they aren't getting Howard. Getting Iggy is a great move.

Looks like the Rockets are getting Howard, good riddance. And I freakin love Iguodala, very happy with that signing.

Football needs to hurry up and get here because after today, I am not at all excited about the Sharks. Same old song and dance in San Jose. Go Niners!

Curry, Thompson and Iguodala were my three guards in my online NBA 2K13 franchise since I know you all care about that sort of stuff. Seriously though, I'd jack up threes all day. I may/may not pick up the Warriors as my second favorite team now since those three are three of my favorite players in the league. But I hardly ever watch the NBA to begin with, and my favorite team is already in the West.

And I'm happy for you guys that you didn't get Howard. I wanted him to stay with the Lakers since I hate them so much. Howard is a big crybaby that just whines when he doesn't get his way. He's a headline maker, and for all of the wrong reasons. On a related note, wouldn't it be funny if Harden won a title before Westbrook/Durant?

And... my favorite day is here... MLB All-Star Game selection day. Seriously though, I hate this day so much. There are so many things wrong with the selection process. I'm making up my rosters now as if I was in charge. I'll post which A's and Giants made it in a little bit.

I put two Athletics (Donaldson and Colon) and three Giants (Posey, Pence and Romo) on my all-star teams.

I thought about putting Lowrie on the AL team since AL shortstops are so bad, but I decided to have Machado and Seager as the backup shortstops (even though neither of them play short anymore. There are just so many good AL third basemen that I had to find a spot for all of them). Donaldson is the third catcher as well (again, I had to get creative). Balfour is having a good season converting saves, but I couldn't find room for him, either. Advanced stats like Cook and Doolittle better anyway from your bullpen. Oakland is having a good season record-wise, but they really don't have any individual players standing out except Donaldson and Colon.

Posey is the backup to Molina. Pence is backing up in the outfield. Romo should be used against a tough righty late in the game if it's close. The Giants aren't doing well as a team, but they have some individual players doing well.

Balfour is a shoe-in. How did you leave him off? As for the advanced stats, they're all very comparable, and managers love saves, so he'll be in for sure.

It's difficult to evaluate a half a season worth of relief stats since most relievers only pitch about 35 innings up to this point. One bad outing, and your stats go through the roof. I just don't like saves as a stat. I think they're dumb.

On a related note, Yadier Molina is hurt, so Buster Posey may start the ASG for the NL at catcher.

Colon made the AL team. Balfour and Donaldson did not.

Leyland made sure to bring every single Tiger he could, though.

The ****ing Royals even have 2 reps. This is a joke. I hope the A's get a crack at Leyland and his mediocre team in the po's.

Yeah, Torii Hunter making it is a joke. The Royals, Twins and Mariners all got two guys in. Heck, Donaldson wasn't even the biggest snub at his own position (Longoria). That's how deep AL third base is this year.

Bumgarner, Scutaro and Posey all made it for the Giants. Pence is on the final ballot.

coco has had a better seaon than hunter, and coco doesnt deserve to be there... crain just was dl'ed, so hopefully balfour gets the spot he's earned...

just annoying to see irrelevant teams, in terms of the postseason, send players over a's players with similar stats.... guess alzheimer leyland goes to bed 2early or doesn't have internet ...

Hunter has had a meh season... decent average, but no power and no speed, and he's scoring a lot of runs because of Miggy and Fielder (exhibit A of why runs are a stupid stat). The one I have a bigger problem with is Zobrist. I know he could play every position except catcher, and they added that rule that a player could come back in a few years ago, but come on. His OBP is pretty good, but that's it.

And please, please, please, if you're voting for the final vote, don't vote for Puig. I'm sick of this Puigmania stuff. (He's probably going to win, though. )

So, they moved him from shortstop to the outfield and now to second? Interesting. He used to be a top prospect, but he was kinda old for Triple-A.

Yeah the Warriors are in serious buisness now. It's about time they start getting some respected hype.

Tonight's A's game is their 8th sell out of the season, which already matches their total from last season.

edit: 9th

No-no for Timmy. Probably one of the few highlights of this disappointing season.
