Skille gone to Columbus. That's a shame. Good depth player.

We know that we can trade until March 2014. That's not the point. Most of the teams are done shopping and are happy with what they have. They might make a few minor tweaking here and there, but I don't think big trades will happen anytime soon. Tell me if I'm wrong, but we don't see a lot of major trades in August and September.

Pretty soon, the staff will take a few weeks off. They will come back for the camps and concentrate on other things than signing UFAs and trading players.

Just want to say that we are at 43 contracts including the latest guys like Fournier, Mayer and Co. 7 contracts left if we go to the limit which we probably shouldn't do. But out of those 7 contracts, we surely can think that both White and Dumont will be signed. 5 left....hoping for Tokarski or another goalie....4 left. And if they sign Andrighetto....3 left.

Less space than we think we have. Unless we trade a 2 for 1 or 3 for 2 out of what we have.

Start to think that we "might" let Andrighetto go to Europe just for this year. And chances are, Fournier won the only contract that was available at the dev. Camp. The others, if they ended up impressing, might just have Bulldogs contracts.

Completely different kind of player. I would have liked Skille. He seems like a more talented version of Mike Blunden

Only one more year at 5m.

Would be nice to add a Morrow/Penner

Adding a solid D-man ( an upgrade on Drewiski) would be a far smarter move than signing one of those guy, unless we are getting rid of Desharnais before the start of the season, which I doubt.

If we want Murphy or Trainor, their contract slides since they aren't in a pro league, right?

Except there aren't solid D-man.

Unless you want to see if Murray/Fistric can pull it together

Not a cap specialist, but I was under the impression that only 18 or 19 year old who are signed but go back to their junior team do not count for the 50-contract limit. But it may not be the case for 20 year old...can somebody clarify?

So Matt Murphy would be ok...but not Trainor.

Nothing against Murray or Fistric but we already have WAY TOO MANY #5 and #6 d-men.

Franky, Drewiskie, Tinordi (will develop), Diaz and Gorges are not top 4 guys. Markov is almost finished. Emelin is injured.

It was no surprise the Edler rumours came about, because we have too many guys cut out for bottom pairing duty. We need shutdown, minute eating, physical horses in the #3 and #4 d slots.

theres no way philly trades simmonds, not only is he one of the best power forwards in the league but he also has a sick contract.. makes no sense for philly to trade him
especially with all their depth in center

They are already over the cap and need to trade salary for prospects.

The sharks fans have been vocal about about Murray's ineptness much before he went to Pittsburgh. Having said that, I thought he fit in rather nicely with the pens, and I see a potential fit in Montreal as the bottom pairing rugged insurance policy.
