like 99% of the goons, not good enough to play 80 games a season - even on a 4th line.

I agree but there's still some time left. I'll judge the work he did AFTER training camp. I suspect moves will happen there.

I do not want Jagr at this point in his career and I have no clue where he would fit when Gionta comes back from his injury... so I'm fully expecting MB to sign him.

I love Jagr but man, he's so slow nowadays. It's sad because his playmaking, puck protection and hands are still elite.

Why wouldn't you? I'm talking stricly from a hockey point of view here. Aside from the fight, Armstrong is a better hockey player than Parros.

Parros hit a little bit more, but Armstrong is a better player defensively and has batter offensive awarness. Still, he isn't at 4th liner on a contender. Rather have Parros has a 13th foward as a "policeman".

I'm guessing this is old news already:

http://www.thescore.com/nhl/articles...e-joining-habs

Which would be good news because the guy has nothing left in the tank.

did you watch the playoffs he is not slow at all, a few of the games for boston he had the most jump of anyone on the team, he just didn't score that's what i'd be more worried about

I'd have no problem with a 1 year deal. Jagr, Penner, Prospal, Boyes, Mueller, Brunner, Latendresse, Antropov... if it's for 1 year and you've got the cap space, who cares? Worse that can happen is that they're scratched or waived.

Jagr doesn't need speed, he has the hands and the strength to do his thing.

Yeah, 45-points in his last 67 games. Nothing left.

If Habs sign Jagr, they'll have to trade a player when Gionta comes back.

Is Jagr going to play D for the Habs?

Looking at our roster, we still need help at D.

Yeah I watched it. He has some jump to go on offense once then he's absolutely toasted to come back.

Honestly I'd sign Jagr just to mentor Galchenyuk and Eller. It would be a disaster on ice though. Don't think he could handle Pleks minutes.

I want him.....but does Therrien?

He will need power play time....but don't we want other younger guys getting that time?

Still a pp with him and Marky would be fun!

I wish this was like 4-5 years ago. Him and Plekanec always clicked. At 41...the corse of 82 games? Will his body hold? HE's in good shape but....that means 60ish games and PO if .... I say **** it, come Jagr!

If they have room/want to add a winger with size Chris Stewart is probably available. Blues' are tight to the cap and have yet to sign Pietrangelo who is going to command at least 5.5m. Maybe they move Perron to make room for Stewart, but Perron is signed and the Blues just today committed 5.1m in salary to Roy/Lapierre that you would think they could've signed Stewart with. Pure speculation on my part, but if Stewart is available he should be a target that won't cost roster players because Blues' won't be taking salary back.

He's a right winger. He didn't have a great playoffs. I think that's due to the Bruins system, though he was still helpful. He fills a position we need, he's skilled and he has the best experience. He has great chemistry with Pleks.

That said, I don't think he'll sign here, as per usual. Though we did manage with Briere, who I thought was just using us so he could get a better contract.

Don't you want the Habs to recover from their ignominious playoff defeat? A one-year contract to Jagr wouldn't hurt and could serve as a bridge. A longer one could interfere with the development of some of the prospects,
