We may also expect that one or more players will be loaned to players also may apply. Back page will most likely be enhanced and also a center place for Oscar Lindberg."

All I have been able to find out so far is that Bud is about to sign a contract but nobody is saying who with. It isn't with Skelftea according to some so I have to believe that we might be an outside chance for where he ends up. Again, I am just speculating but there you go.
envägskontrakt = one way contract.

black and yellow his current team Skellefteå.

I am near the top of the flatirons above Boulder
And still have connectivity! Crazy. I will say
From this beautiful place that when scuderi didn't
Sign, the kings upped the offer a bit to Bud and
he signed with the Kings.

Yes and yes.

I hadn't had a chance to go through the translation entirely before I posted.

The superstar hasn't signed with an NHL team yet? I thought this guy, who is all but guaranteed to be a legit top six forward (according to some on here) would've been snatched up by a team already.

Still don't understand why this guy can't just sign a 1 year deal with a clause to go back to Sweden if he doesn't make the team out of training camp, There's a spot there for him to win.

Our own Dwight Howard, except he's never played a game in the NHL.

Bud is a good guy and he isn't being greedy nor does he see himself as a lock to do anything in the NHL. He wants to be able to prove that he can become a good solid NHLer and has allegedly refused at least one offer from another NHL team in the hopes of remaining with the Kings.

Say what you want about the way this situation has been handled and surely there is room for criticism from Buds camp but he is a great young talented hockey player who has established himself as a star in the SEL and wants a shot at doing the same in the NHL and more so still wants a chance to do so with the Kings.

The deal is as it has been all along, Bud wants outs. If he doesn't make the team he wants to be loaned out to SEL. I think it is a fair thing. I think that he made a mistake in going to the SEL and have even told him that in person but it is what it is and now we are where we are.

If/when he moves along then so be it. I believe that if he had remained under our fold that he would have been in the NHL for awhile by now but he made his own decisions and is where he is as a result.

That said it would be a shame to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

I said over a week ago that he had our answer from Bud and I don't see anything changing unless there is a major breakthrough. It would be nice to see him prove to everyone how well his game either does or doesn't translate to the NHL but it doesn't look like it will happen.

So on to the next prospect.

I think we will see Bud end up succeeding in the NHL in the same way that Moulson and others have gone on to do after leaving the Kings (not that I see Bud becoming a 30 goal scorer or anything like that). I hate to see them go but am happy to see them succeed.

This happens to great teams. We can't keep em all and DL has to establish his vision for what it takes to make the Kings. So long as he keeps us as one of the top teams in the league I am alright with whatever he does ultimately.

Neither have a few other good players like Brunner. Not everyone has a hard on to sign four minutes after the deadline drops. If anything we should have learned from the past two years is that Bud Holloway is beyond patient.

TG, give us a little idea of what kind of offer you think would be fair for Holloway.

If he signs here, that's the end of Penner's time in LA for sure. The Penner situation is likely 50/50 at the moment anyway.

I would give Bud a 1yr 1way $1m deal (though I believe DL is closer to $750k for 1 yr) and think he shouldn't sign for more than that. I would also give a team option to loan BH out to Skeltfea if he doesn't stick.

To me, as much as I love Pancakes in the playoffs I have moved on. Sadly I think Penns is replaceable. If he ends up staying I wouldn't give him more than $1.5 for a 1yr deal and even then would rather we bring up Andy Andy and or Kozy for the playoffs to take his spot.

Lombardi doesn't want to let him go to the SEL if he doesn't make the team, that seems to be a requirement for Bud

I hope it is the end of Penner, no matter what. 2 goals playing with second line time and PP time is abysmal. He can't even keep himself
in shape and is a bad example of a pro to the young players. The fact that he elevates his game in the playoffs (and still is invisible most shifts) shows his regular season effort and commitment is subpar at best.

Couldn't agree more and is why I was against him coming here from the start (though I will agree, he was important to winning a cup, so in hindsight, I'd do the trade again).

Can you even lend someone to Sweden without waivers first? I doubt it.
