His release and smarts are on display in this video. It's strength that is the number one issue.

If putting on weight is the main target then playing the shorter European season should be better than going to the CHL with more games and more time wasted on travel.

Wtf is this ... I can't even .... Now for once .... We need someone to get Patches or P.k. on the case. No wonder he's super thin and weak with that kind of training concentrating on aerobics.

I never really said this but ... Bro do you even lift is probably the only acceptable thing to say here

Straight from the Napolean Dynamite athletic regimen of sweet jumps.

There was a good article in finnish sport magazine Urheilulehti about Lehkonen.

For example former speedskater Lauri Paalasmaa helps him with physique training.

Don't know if those training methods comes from there.

Playing in Montreal Artturi says:

"If I someday play there, it would be awesome. If everything goes well, fans are on our side. If it don't go well, there is national sorrow. It gives some kind of meaningfulness."

PS. It would be awesome if some finn who has good english could translate some main points in that article. My english is so poor that i don't wanna even try.

I was told that it was a "wasted pick." Not expecting to see him in Kootenay.

Are people really judging on his training regime? Ahaha

Fatty behind his keyboard saying this I bet. Probly made more training in an 1min49 video that most of you did in your whole life...

Thanks. I guessed they just put it out there just in case.

That's exactly what most of those are for. There's a couple of core ones but, from the video, what he's working on is lower body explosiveness. It would be similar to a volleyball/basketball jump program. It's not good for gaining weight but it will really improve his skating and muscle control. That's about as much as I know.

I know what it is for.. but if he wants to gain some mass, he needs to change his fitness regime. Can still keep some of those fast-twitch, explosive-ness and plyometric exercises but he needs to squat.

MOARSQUATs

Yeah, when you're maybe 170lbs and 5'11, you need to be putting on some mass if you hope to compete in the NHL. Highly doubt that's his full training regimen though, it's a 2min YouTube clip

I actually didn't see a barbell, rack, or bumper in that room. The programs that he seems to be doing in the video represent "strength work" and "pool work" from the company's website. That is his strength program. Moreover, if he were doing any sort of maximal strength training it would either be featured in the video, or be featured in the kid's body. He is simply weak and underdeveloped, and this program has no chance of addressing it.

I felt there might be a chance he would be there at 55, could be a real steal!

WJC is going to be full of Habs prospects this year.

Maybe he becomes the Teravainen pick we missed out on in a trade up last year. They had practically the same stats... and Teuvo was a year older.
