I liked Jagr very very much, and I still do like him, but much less. However, with more than 13 forwards with Habs, and with Gionta, Briere and Gallagher as RW, I really don't see Jagr coming here.

If Jagr doesn't sign seems more common someone will be moved for much needed FWD help & a solid tough D

We are very interested in him, and he is very interested in playing with us.

Just like last year...

And the year before...

And probably next year...

Thank you for your cynicism. We deeply appreciate it.

Would you boo him if he appears in a Canadien uniform?

interesting to see if he signs w/ you guys - but my impression about jagr is he's a guy after the cash. last year, his desire to wear a habs jersey wasn't strong enough it prevented him from signing in dallas - not a team expected to win.

congrats if you get him - i suspect it will be because you offered him the most money. however, i'd be surprised if he ends up with you. bergevin isn't stupid.

as an aside, it's not my business to comment on your team dynamic - but given that some or your top (current and future) players are younger and will likely be there for a while - maybe it would be better if 'leadership' was organic and developed amongst the players currently committed - rather than a guy coming in on a 1 year contract?

Do you seriously think they're getting PP time? Not with Gionta, Plekanec, Bourque, Pacioretty, DD, Brière before them.

I don't agree, I'm just saying it like it is.

You laughed at me, you are like super mean.

So if we sign Jagr, their chances of seeing PP time is going Up or Down... ? It would be just worst, his tank is almost empty PLUS he's a PP guy.

I will not boo him. I stand by my team no matter what.
I don't have to appreciate every move, but I will have to believe in them to the end.

i thought we weren't interested before but now we finally are.

The signing would be great because that would mean one of Gionta or DD is goners. Jagr's puck possession game is still great. I think he'd be a plus. Gives us more options with our line combos too.

i'm not a total foreigner. as a hawks fan, given you've stolen most of our team's front office - we're kinda the same team.

that aside - in your conference, i'll cheer for the leafs - & the sens out of pity (and residual wings hatred) but other than that i'm totally pulling for you.

more to the point - i love montreal and go there frequently. and i studied french (voluntarily) all the way through high school - if it weren't for the fact that i will never fully grasp passé composé vs imparfait, you'd think i was a native montreal-er.

He's an upgrade over Bourque.

i'm not too good in either language - but i understand both enough to know that l-e-a-f-s will better h-a-b-s next year.

teasing aside - i don't just visit your board for troll purposes. Galchenyuk is probably my fave prospect from 2012 draft (except for Teravainen - and i'm a hawks fan)...and Subban is one of my top 5 fave players in the NHL. and i also love montreal. so i'm *pseudo* good people.

The best news about Jagr coming here would be that somebody else has to leave.

I don't know if this is credible, but

******* ******** ‏@*************** 8h

#BREAKINGNEWS: Jagr's agent just contacted Marc Bergevin within last hour> Jagr #Habs talks BACK ON big time>JJ willing to leave $ on table

---

******* ******** ‏@*************** 8h

Not sure what the #Habs offer is but from source VERY CLOSE to Jagr himself, JJ is willing to leave $ on the table to join Plekanec in MTL.

Gallagher was 8th in PP TOI per game behind Ryder and Cole.
Might as well say 7th (5th in total PP TOI ahead of Ryder, Cole and Bourque).

In the last games of the season, MT started to put Eller and Galchenyuk a few times on the first PP.
Actually, Glachenyuk is in PP during pratice.

They will get more PP time eventually.

Even if it's only one year, Jagr would bring so much to this team as a 41 yrs old teaching those kids what work ethics and the will to win is all about.

I always been a big fan of his. Bring it on, something exciting to cheer about.
