The BA cause is still disputed...maybe this one may shed some light.
2 things i read is that SFO had their ILS systems turned off due to construction, so they could only do manual landings. Also heard the landing gear clipped the rocks before the runway and that caused the accident.

Question: how serious can these threads get? I've had a pretty meaningful reconnection in my life, and want to vent/gush to someone about it, but I don't want to bog the thread down.

It runs the gamut from serious to silly. Gush away.

Deploying tomorrow. A lot more anxiety this time than the last one.

Tyler Seguin's mom
Fans behead referee

I was just about ready to shuck my corn yesterday afternoon and I thought of you; not to far from the Farm Stand's corn husk bin was a bunch of nasty looking beets. You had said someone was making a dish with beets on the Food Channel and I am sorry they were right out of the ground and nasty looking. I expected some Alian to walk in looking for his body part back. Gross they look even worse than they taste

perhaps. And to make it clear....I think the individual people I follow are interesting. I like hearing peoples life stories, but the overall larger media outlet sources perplex me.

I find the entire architecture fascinating.

Basically it's the old gossip-over-the-fence format, just updated. People don't change much, technology does.

For the record, the only Boston media source I follow is Naoko, and the only (inter)national one is MacKenzie. The former are too snarky for my taste, and as for the latter, Bob sticks to the important stuff.

The rest is friends, athletes, authors and a couple of politically like-minded types.

Just saw my son's former child care provider out for a walk. She had to stop caring for him because of health problems. Today she told me she and her husband have given up driving. I feel so bad for them. It's hard getting old.

Had a good eggs and oatmeal breakfast this morning. Oatmeal had cream and brown sugar on it

I'm still in a food coma and am drinking massive amounts of water so I can go to the gym haha
