One couldn't possibly argue your beef over the Jokinen incident, or anyone pissed he left.

Hes a weapon, money player as we expected, and (ATF)"in the right situation..."

Ill take him, he's still a homegrown, and he should bring Campbell with him.

Serious question, think theyd trade jovo and his contract for Seidenberg?

Lol

Bergenheim Matthias Horton?

I think Horton is lazy, unmotivated, and immature. Pretty much anyone could score with enough time and space. Horton plays when he wants to. The rest of the time he floats. I would rather have Gregory Campbell back (since we're all dreaming here).
I think you can make an argument for everything else you posted, but I think you can do without the hyperbole of the bolded.

Horton has tremendous skills and has a very nice scoring touch. He would do well with Huberdeau feeding him the puck. I'm not sure how much of his problem is motivation and how much is lack on hockey smarts - probably some of both.

Would I sign Horton for $3 - 3.5M a year for 3 - 4 years? Yes - as long as there is no NMC or NTC in the contract. This is really all a moot point if he is asking for $5-6M a year (which he almost certainly is).

Someone will make a mistake and give him more years/money - doubt it will be Tallon.

He is the one player I would absolutely LOVE to have back.

Swap out Kuba and add Seidenberg and watch how much better this team would be.

Boston would be stupid to trade him and I doubt he would be interested in coming back.

Further than the situation everyone should have an issue with. I know Dr Beinfest off the boards, he has a legit reason to dislike Horton.

Watched the whole thing. Some interesting things I noticed:

Quote:
Tallon seems set on Jones falling to us and him picking him. Had great things to say about the kid, seems to love his attitude (which we all know is very important to GMDT)

Monday should be the day we hear about whether or not we'll be buying any of our players out.

Tuesday should be when we hear of the qualifying offers we tendered to our RFAs (Markstrom, Matthias, etc)

Says he's interested in Vinny but it seems like he won't push too hard for him.

DT also seems pretty content with our offense. Mentions how if we draft Jones it may effect our offense short term, but talks about how we can "expect more 2-1 games" this season.
Can't say I'm very happy about our offense. We need goals and it sounds like DT is comfortable sitting pat and waiting/hoping for our guys to develop. I hope he brings in at least a couple guys to help guide these kids. I hate the thought of throwing guys like Bjugs and Howden into bigger roles than they are ready for, especially Bjugs considering our total lack of depth at center.

Big difference between these two IMO. They better not be offering one of them. The other I would drive to the airport. Any guesses which is which?

Not 100 per cent yet but looks like Nathan Horton will NOT be back with BOS. B's talking trade and Tyler Seguin's name has been discussed.
Seguin for #2?

seguin isn't worth #2 in my book... he would #4 or #5 in this draft. he also slumped heavily while no real change of what i know. dont know how consistent he is, even if he should blossom under another system than bostons

Yeah, Seguin hasn't exactly been impressive even if he sometimes has flashes of brilliance.

The cost of Seguin will be too high. Plus, for a franchise like ours, the monetary cost of losing those entry level years really makes it not worth trading the #2 pick.

So us avs fans are trying to figure out what kind of top LHD we could get with a package that doesn't break up our forwards yet. Thinking pieces like our 1st or 2nd round pick, Ryan Wilson, Hishon/Sgar/McGinn, Pickard/Martin/Aitto and Elliott/Barrie. Would there be the basis of a trade for Kuli there? Like the 1st, Wilson, Hishon and Pickard for Kuli? Or is there no interest in moving Kuli on your guys' end?

I really don't see the benefit of that for us.

Yeah didn't think so. Thought that maybe a potentially very high pick, a capable tough young 4-5 dman, and a pair of really good prospects on the brink of breaking into the NHL, could interest you guys since you've still got a while til all of that awesome young talent matures, but there's a reason I'd be willing to give all that up for Kuli who's well on his way to being a very good 2-3 type.

our defense was absolutely terrible last year. kulikov is our best defensman in his own end, and the second best puck mover/offensive d man behind campbell. the only reason people thought he might be available is if we selected jones. we didn't, so the likelyhood of us moving him is very unlikely.

Word is Kyle Clifford is available, can't even begin to say how much I hope we grab him. Huge upgrade over Parros in all aspects other than ability to go with super heavies. Still, he faired well against Thornton and Prust and is a banger.

Get on it Tallon!!

A player you and i agree on?

Would love to have Clifford. Good physical presence and he can play. Not a liability.

Somewhere in hell there is a snowball surviving, lol

I've always wanted someone who could play and wasn't just an all out goon, but I didn't want to just not have anyone. I love a good heavyweight tilt, but those can't always play. Parros was awful, just wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, he just kept sinking.

Would LOVE Clifford.
