He is exactly what the Habs need. Big hard hitting DMan who did not back down from any of the Bruins.

Regarding the Sharks fans, they are no different than any other fanbase posting here...........full of opinions right and wrong.

The following teams need to make moves to open up roster spots and/or clear cap space:
Flyers (defenceman)
Pens (Niskanen)
Sharks (needs a little breathing room)
Blues (fwd: RFA Stewart? Perron? Berg?)
Wings (too many depth fwds unless they buyout Samuelsson)

Still room ?

Any way, ANY possible way we could somehow fit Douglas Murray and Dustin Penner into this team?

Good / bad idea ?

And if a good idea... HOW ? And no this isn't only about getting bigger.

2 years ago nobody saw how much he sucked when it counted the most. He's a good player, but he depends too much on his wingers, and we can't give him good enough wingers right now. Pacs can't do all the job for DD.

I would love to package a deal to get him. Give them DD and a top D prospect for him.

I would like a Murray type player. To bad he's getting up there. At what price?2.5?3.5? 1 year maybe 2 or 3?

No way they give us Simmonds for that. They would want a better roster player. Simmonds is a power forward with a good contract.

I think if we got penner for cheap it would be a good move. He is young and has two stanley cup championships.

Personally I like penner over Jagr. We have about 4 million in cap space. so if we gave him 1 or 2 years at 2.5-3mill a year.

I can not say much about douglas murray, I saw him a bit but I don't know much about him.

Penner is hardly a hockey player at this point and he's 30 years old.

Murray is really a tank, and bu tank i mean slow as hell. He was really a disapointment in the PO, Bruins were skating around him like it's nobody's business.

Wut? Penner would have been a much better pick up than briere.

Murray is awful, though. Agreed.

It wouldnt make sense if we trade Pleks though. The only reason why I want Jagr is because of his and Pleks' chemistry. Theyve always wanted to play together in the NHL.

I like DD but the emergence of Eller and Chuckie make him expandable, especially with our lack of size. Keeping pleks is a must.

I think we were pretty torn about DD, then. Some people doubted him despite his good production. I kinda always liked him but at the same time I doubt him, too. For one, he is another small guy on a team of small guys. He did get 60 points. But he played with a hot Pacioretty and hot Cole. Is that the only reason? Maybe they benefitted from him as well. But I think a lot of people have always felt this guy is not cut out to be a top 6 center.

Yes. They are motivational geniuses. " Dry Island" is in every corporate HR manual now. This management and coaching combination will not win a cup in the foreseeable future.
