What a joke. Extend the head coach who has yet to shown competency in his position.

That could take awhile...

I say give him a 2-hour extension and review at the end of the contract

you're right. this news is more disgusting than anything the Oilers did this weekend.

this really ticks me off. it couldn't wait until say halfway or so into the season to see if Kavis can actually get the job done?

Another nail in the coffin of Esks management, to me. and if Hervy had anything to do with it, he's just shown he is either clueless, a puppet or just way over his head.

what garbage.

Good thing we fired Tillman to go full on Oilers Old Boys Club by naming an player with no managerial experience as the GM. Hervey brings in nothing at all in terms of new talent in training camp, we get ****-skidded in the home opener, and his buddy Kavis gets a contract extension for it. You're off to a rocking start, Ed.

I really think the biggest reason he go the job was because he told that idiot Len Rhodes to stop the ray trade, it was a no brainer but I cant think of anything else, what qualifications does he even have? Our backup qb is the most talented player he brought in this summer, insane

The scary thing is he was probably the second choice for Hervey's job. He'd have been even less qualified and deserving than Maccioca, that board of directors is something special.

Good to see we don't have many people supporting the Reed extension. Hervey has grabbed the hammer and last couple of nails Danny Mac had in his pocket. People didn't like Tillman, but he is sort of a Brian Burke kind and has no problems of making changes. Hervey is making us miss Tillman already.

Can anybody else figure out the start time of this game?

Its announced as 3pm MDT. Which means 5PMEST.

I haven't attended a sporting event ever that started at 5pm. Any particular reason for this on a Sunday?

jebus, either make it an afternoon or evening starting time. This time kind of screws your whole day in half on one of the few summer days we have in Canada.

Essentially I'm tapping fingers here waiting for the game to start. Because with a normal Eastern start time it would be ending by now. Which I actually prefer.

I was under the impression that the game was starting in 30 mins but I could be wrong.

The CFL website says 5:00 Eastern...TSN website says 5:00 Eastern.

I am guessing that the start time is 5:00 Eastern time.

Agreed.

I watched the Wimbledon final and came home thinking the game was on at 1pm like usual on Sunday afternoon games. See the guide shows 3pm now and will likely miss it anyway. Weird.

I fully expect Austin to absolutely school Reed in this game.

Maybe after being schooled game in and game out by almost every CFL coach Reed might actually make some progress as a coach.

Correct, the question was why?

Standardized times are good, because people actually expect them, like Mr. Woof indicated.

ps Edit my original question was rhetorical in nature. Not actual confusion about when the game starts I could see now how my wording created confusion, lol.
