Agreed, plus I don't ever want to see Bouillon AND Gorges running our second PP ever again.

Josh Gorges - PK Subban
Andrei Markov - XXX
Jarred Tinordi - Francis Bouillon
- Davis Drewiske and Alexei Emelin(IR)

Maybe DD and Diaz can be packaged for a top 4 RHD and a pick. If it would happen, we would have a very solid roster.
I'd be down with that Roster, although I'd much rather see a Tinordi Diaz pairing and get douglas murray to play with Markov. If Markov can make every d he plays with seem amazing, him and Murray would make a great pairing.

Sign Damien Brunner to 1 year for a top 9 position. If he performs, make him Gionta's replacement at the end of the season.

Take a flyer on Ryan Whitney. He's broken, but if he can somehow play 18 minutes/game, it would be a good depth.

Toronto is nuts to let Kostka go, surprised he was not signed yet.

I'd be interested in signing Brunner, I think he will have a breakout season.

I'd rather sign a big, physical depth D-man instead of Whitney, plus Whitney doesn't really fill any needs, as we've already got Subban, Markov, and Diaz as puck-movers.

Can't believe they played him in the NHL all season long, even in the playoffs.

Kostka is a Doug Janik or Jeff Woywitka at best.

Two guys i'd like to take from western teams are Jamie McGinn and Chris Stewart. Both aren't for trade (As the Blues got Derek Roy now) but if we can fill one of their needs to getone of those 2, that'd be great. They do bring something we lack.

Blue Jackets sign former Habs defenceman St-Denis

it's officially official. Frederic St-Denis is out of the Canadiens organisation.

Not that we didn't know that already, but best of luck to you, Freddy! You were a good stand-in for the times that you had to be.

From what I can tell, St Louis has 7.8M to sign Pietrangelo and Stewart. I'd make a pitch for Stewart or Oshie. A big pitch.

I hope he get the chance to prove himself in the NHL I always though that if it wasn't for a team full of small puck moving guys he could have made a name for himself.

Good luck for him. He looked good in the few games he played here and deserved to be called up last year but didn't. Would have rather had him as 7th D than Drewiske.

He didn't sign because he wanted to go to the KHL, since his role was limited and was going to be limited to bottom 6 minutes in the NHL. Seems he wants to come back to NHL after he "develops" his offensive game in the KHL, with more minutes.

Good luck for him.

Wish we kept him, but there was really no place for him anymore.

Sure, an undersized defenseman is definitely what we need.

They need centers, Derek Roy is just a fix for one season and he's been on the downhill of his career. I think Oshie is one of their no trade. Berglund could be had for another center. So Maybe Plek + prospects or picks for Stewart and Berglund. We'd be upgranding on the wing but downgrading in the center. We'd get younger and bigger though. Put Brière at center till Eller and Galchenyuk are ready to take more responsabilties.

So that a mod can merge it in the OOT thread.

Or FA thread.

I loved what I saw of him when he got a chance with the Habs but he was not a good fit. Good luck to him with CBJ.

Looks like he can play in NHL fulltime. Could be another Stephane Robidas
