Love the idea but there is no fit. He would be great for the PP but we already have 5 capable wingers for the PP. We need to save our money to tie up Kadri, Franson & Gunnarsson. Trade Liles, then this might work on a one year deal.

Toronto will be in a better situation to make this kind of move next season once we get Kessel, Phaneuf, Kulemin, McClement, Gardiner and Reimer re-upped. Honestly, I hope Nonis has a plan, because Kadri, Franson, Gunnarsson, Colborne & Fraser are going to take us too the cap. $25 million will be tight if we plan to keep all 6 players.

No, it would be time to absolutely lose hope in Nonis

Man we have some serious issues if we only have 10 bucks left for our cap. On the topic of jagr, why even bother? I would much rather promote from with in to fill that hole and give one of our young guys some valuable experience playing with the big club.

The only scenario i could see is if we played him with Colborne, but the chances of that are stupidly low so we shouldnt even bother.

I wanted jagr two years ago when we had room and needed to give prospects some time to mature. Figured he could help our young core. Now it's too late. We have our playoff experience and jagr doesn't fit with the additions nonis has made.

I would of preferred Jagr at one year (3-4m) over Clarkson @ 7 years 5.25

leafs suck at puck possession, adding Jagr would help that by 30%

if the Leafs make a trade it will be to bring a dman in, not another forward.

Jagr wants a top 6 role and minutes. We don't have that available. End of story.

If we had a big playmaking (offensive) centerman that's not known for his speed, I'd consider putting Jagr on with him.....but we don't have Sundin anymore so it doesn't work well.
Thanks, now I'll be drooling thinking about Jagr playing with Sundin for the rest of the day
