Put him down.

That would be...how do I put this....IN SANE!

Marchand rumour makes no sense unless it's for a huge return and even then I'm not really comfortable moving him.

To be fair, was Seguins return a huge one?

I think we get less than that for Brad, IMO.

First, its speculation not rumor.

Second, I never get cranked up over stuff like this....I'd trade my grandma... if she was still alive.....for the right deal.

Getting nuts without knowing who or what could come back is well....nuts.

Marchand just led the team in points and goals and is on a very good contract. Why on earth would the Bruins trade him? Sure his playoffs were not his best stretch, but unlike Seguin, Marchand has been good in the playoffs before this year.

KPD thought Chiarelli did a great job reconstructing the right side he figured he should do the left now?

Little o' this/ little o' that. RT @ZappaRivard: @globekpd Would Marchand trade be bcz of Seguin like Maturity issues or contract $$$$?

Kevin Paul Dupont ‏@GlobeKPD 6m
Next 14-21 days. RT @chrislmendonca: @GlobeKPD Any idea when we might expect one?

Kevin Paul Dupont ‏@GlobeKPD 2m
Again, worth remembering...players are produce,...ripe for very short period.

Oiler fan coming in peace. Assuming Marchand was moved, what would you want from Edmonton? I love Marchand. PS.....thanks for kicking Pittsburgh to the curb, most hated Eastern team!

Eberle or Hall at % reduced, Marchand is cap friendly, we will give you a prospect and a pick, but Hall or Eberle come back no higher than 4mill against our cap.

So KPD figures that Chiarelli wants to go into next season with 6 new forwards in the lineup?

Highly doubtful

has that guy ever had an actual scoop or inside info? Of course it's speculation. The Bruins have zero reason to trade Marchand.

Thanks for the responses. Appreciated. I guess Edmonton/Boston wouldn't be trading partners for Marchand as there is not a fit.

Some of the stuff you've said recently just blows my mind.

If the Bruins were offered Hall for Marchand, Chia would take that in a heartbeat WITH the cap hit Hall has right now.....without question.

It's really not even up for discussion whether or not Chia would take a one for one trade between Marchand and Hall with their current cap hits. You can work around the cap much easier than you can acquire high end talent.

The difference in cap hits between Marchand and Hall is the movement of McQuaid, Campbell, Krug, or someone else in the 1.5mil range. One of them would easily be dealt along with Marchand if Chia was that worried about the cap hit in a trade for Hall.

KPD has a pants tent for DoMo. He used to post here fairly frequently, and seemed like everytime he did, DoMo was mentioned.

Of course he would do that swap, all I am saying is we would rather have him reduced (Oil have cap space and if they want Marchand so much that they trade Hall for him it would happen), I am a huge Kelly suporter but if you get Hall for Marchand and Kelly, of course not even a question.

I threw in a prospect and pick with Marchand of course I do one for one

And Kelly is my favorite player, I own a Marchand Jersey, but for Hall you have to do it.

I didn't see the prospect or pick part, so that's my bad.

Cap hits are important for sure, but I'm certainly a believer that you get the talent you want and then move whoever you have to after.

I think the Bruins would have to give up something pretty significant to get Hall, and I don't think Marchand could be the foundation unless Hamilton was going the other way.

Kinda doubt Hall would be moved anywhere for anything.

Eberle on the other hand ...

I find him needlessly negative and incendiary at times, but I think KPD knows his stuff. He doesn't post rumors he posts what he senses, and I'd take his "sense" over anyone else in the press corps.

All that said, no way in hell I trade Marchand for anything less than a king's ransom. It's not that he's that great a player (damn good though), it's that he's capable of agitating like few in the game. That's a very valuable player to have, and unless the Bruins feel like that part of his game is gone (no idea why they'd think that) or there are off-ice issues, he's worth his weight in gold. I would honestly, no exaggeration, want close to a Seguin package for him.

Kelly on the other hand...
