This can't be serious as it is not even close to getting Dallas to move Benn. I had to double check to see it wasn't Jordie Benn as that would make more sense then this trade.

At first I had Dougie instead of Krug, but thought it would be bad for Boston. But I can change it and see where that goes.

Still not good for Dallas. Dallas needs something Major coming back for Benn not minor pieces. Also Trading Hamilton for offense makes no sense for Boston.

Neither Krug or Hamilton should be in a proposal. Both should be valuable pieces to the B's roster in the years to come considering the season the two had; I do not see Boston trading them.

Did you really even have Krug instead of Hamilton in this before? That's just unbelievable.

One of us must be thinking of another Marchand.

So Dallas gets a center to play with Benn in Seguin, only to trade him for that? Okay then...

Marchand is in the same ballpark of Benn.

Hamilton is too much in this deal.

I think the Stars don't do it because Benn is a guy they have long term plans for and I just don't think it's good value for the Bruins. Marchand to Benn isn't enough of an upgrade for me to give up Hamilton and Spooner while only getting Oleksiak back (well, plus a backup goalie). In fairness I'm lower on Oleksiak than most I imagine, saw him play numerous times in the OHL and he usually wasn't very good, I know he was very good in the AHL though.

If the ballparks are minor league and pro parks. Benn has WAAAY more upside than Marchand.

Dan Ellis the goalie? Or is there a different Dan Ellis tht is a prospect that actually has trade value and isn't pretty much useless to begin with

Yes I did.

I had Marchand + Hamilton + Solid prospect as too much. Then looked it over and realized that people have a big hard on for Benn. Who I do think is very good player, but not to the point where Marchand + a top D prospect is not in the ball park.

A non-stars fan makes a proposal with Dallas involved? No wonder it doesn't make any sense.

Marchand number is close to Benn, Marchand is good defensively and great on PK. and he can be a real pest.

Benn could easily get that! So now that Loui is gone Benn can be the new Underrated player in Dallas.

So are we going to compare teams and players Marchand and Benn played with?

Benn plays three more minute a game and almost double the PP time. Claude Julien does not help players score individual numbers, spreads the minutes out so much and the Bruins have had an abysmal powerplay for a few years now (which Julien seems reluctant to put Marchand on more to even try and fix for some reason). You think that isn't enough for Benn, most Bruins are gonna disagree with you I imagine. Trade doesn't really make sense for either team and they just made a big deal with eachother.
