Management loves their Norfolk guys. Ashton, Kostka, Lasch and now Smith, all former Admirals

Veteran depth for the Marlies. Team is looking like it could use it.

Trevor Smith $550k/1yr/1 way

Leafs appear to have signed Trevor Smith to a 1 way $550k/1yr contract on July 5. Anyone know anything about this move? Is he our 12th or 13th forward?

There is a thread on him (although not big): http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh....php?t=1463421

Looks like he is the dedicated press box guy and injury plug, with this one-way deal.

Not a bad price for that 13th/14th forward. Praised for his tenacity in going after the puck and getting off a quick shot. Averaged skating abilities and seemingly average performance in junior. (based on what i found online)

Per capgeek its a one-way. It was 3 days ago, not really that old.

They list him on the Leafs roster, so he must be playing on the Leafs, not the Marlies, so one way contract.

Kevin Marshall and TJ Brennan on Defence.

Small, but good signing.

The guy can compete for a roster spot on the Leafs, and if not he'll be a good veteran and a good producer for Marlies.
