Laraque needs to just go away; he's as irrelevant as Avery now...no one cares...

Yeah...newsflash: that's why you're not in the league anymore.

Honestly, I didn't know that by signing this idiot it meant we were subjected to his commentary on everything the Habs do from now until the end of time. Please, go the hell away.

When he plays like he can, Moen is one of the best bottom-6er in the league. Those guys get you deep in the playoffs. He's not a dime a dozen player. At least, he wasn't at the time....

Fun facts:

Parros has 47 fights in the last 3 seasons over 163 games.

Laraque had 43 fights in the 5 seasons from the end of the lockout until he got bought out over 223 games.

I'm going to steal that and tweet it Watsatheo. I'm on a bit of a Laraque rant mode at the moment.

-Prust was amazing last year, better than Parros will.

-Our division is ''crazy''. Florida wouldnt let Parros go if he was doing the job.

-Knowing Montreal's market, after 2 or 3 beatings, people will begin to wonder why we got this guy...

-Some will say I'm jealous, frustrated but I'm not. I know the guy, I know them all. Those who don't believe me will see for themselves.
it really sounds like BGL is describing his signing with the habs
everything he says fits his stay with montreal

Really? I thought his comments are not only interesting, they echo what fans of Florida have said as well.

Parros is a poor answer for what we needed. Alas, I guess no one else was available.

And playoffs where he was completely invisible yes.

I'm a Moen fan, I still see that goal against the Penguins in my dreams, but last year he was less than useless.... He was just plain invisible.

I hate Laraque as much as everyone here, but y'all should read the thread about the trade on the Panthers board

Panthers fans didn't like him last year, but he was quite popular in Anaheim for like, 6 years before that. So...off year or a career trending downward for good? We'll have to wait and see. But the price we paid was peanuts, his cap hit is peanuts, and he's off the books after this year. It's about as low risk a move as you can possibly make.

Is Boston supposed to be afraid of Parros? I thought it was clear that bringing in Parros was to avoid things like 2 years ago when we had no one to stand up for anyone. Thorton is still going to play his game, but other players that might not want to go up against Parros, so they play a little more honest.

When was the last time people were saying good things about a player their team traded? Very few times, even when they liked the guy. It's a natural reaction from fanboys.

Having said that, Parros is not the Anaheim Parros but the Habs are tougher with him than without him. Much needed help for Prust for the heavyweights.

This is one freakin year. We didn't give up anything and we didn't got a guy for the next 6 years. Chances are Parros are out and others, better, would be available during the season or in the off-season. Market was Parros this year. Yes, there were others, but too expensive. Nothing to panic.

At worst, he'd be everybody punching bag....but it won't be Prust. And we need a healthy hockey player in Prust as long as we can if we want to go far. THAT'S ENOUGH for me. Everything else is a plus. And we all know that Parros won,t lose against everybody. And we all know that other players in this team will like to see him on board.

This right there. And I couldn't care less about fighting and enforcers.

To those saying we are sometimes too negative about MB's moves, all I can say is: if I can see a logical purpose behind a move, I'm usually fine with it or at least, I give our GM the benefit of doubt.

Maybe now that Moen and Parros are on the same team again (and potentially same line), we'll see some of that long lost Anaheim toughness from both?

I wish I could get the same treatment from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind to erase the memory of Laraque. He was embarrassing to watch and now he's embarrassing to listen to. The absolute worst player I've ever seen play for the Habs, and that's saying something when you remember guys like Mark Lamb, Patrick Traverse and Gordie Dwyer. Please go away you irrelevant bum.

So does Brandon Prust strike fear in other teams? Absolutely not, BUT HE IS THERE!! The same thing with Parros, stop looking at his fight record, the #1 priorety was to find somebody that would take on heavyweights and Parros is that man for us. I don't give a crap if Panthers fans sidn't like him, their whole team was crap last year, so of course they attack their bottom 6 players 1st. Parros has a definite role here, and our division suits him way better.
