Yep, the Hawks will be there. And I'll have reports on the players I see.

Mark McNeill slowly being helped off the ice and to the locker room. Took a puck to the back of the leg. #Blackhawks

Raanta's going to sit out the whole week due to a minor injury.

McNeill now back on the ice. Guess that injury wasn't as bad as it seemed.

Mark McNeill's from Alberta bro. The only way he doesn't come back to a prospect camp drill is if you physically tie him to the locker room bench.

Anybody who's watching the camp won't be posting until later today, one would assume.

JJ from Hockeybuzz said that from what he has heard, Danault is far and away the best player at camp so far.

Quote:
The most dominant player in camp is—no surprise—2011 1st round pick Philip Danault. Now listed at 198 pounds, a thicker-looking Danault was noticeably better than his peers 1-on-1, 2-on-2, on faceoffs, etc.

Working with new faceoff coach Yannic Perreault, Danault was noticeably better than fellow 2011 first rounder Mark McNeiil. After some instruction with Perreault, McNeill began holding his own.

Another prospect jumping out yesterday was 2013 draftee, and considered by many a sleeper selection, puck-moving Swedish defenseman Robin Norell.

6’9” Viktor Svedberg, another Swedish blueliner, reportedly has some skating ability to go with his considerable size.

Other noticeables: Garrett, Ross, Stephen Johns, who both looked “great,” Dillon Fournier and 2013 3rd rounder John Hayden. Free agent defenseman Gleb Koryagin (regrettably no relation to the Man from Uncle’s Ilya Kuryakin) and 2013 drafteee Carl Dahlstrom.

I am also hearing the Hawks are toying with the notion of moving former 3rd and 2nd round picks Shawn Lalonde and Justin Holl to wing.

Antti Raanta said he was never promised an NHL spot, and that it was "obvious" they'd sign a backup (Khabibulin). #Blackhawks

So...what I was saying all along.

From that Jj report...rather Late on the Hawks braintrust FINALLY realizing Lalonde will never be an NHL dman..but as I had posted for several years now that he Could impact as a winger due to great skating and sbility to carru pucks in and around guys into the o-zone...I recall him being very effective on the PP for Belleville when theu used him sometimes on RW in such situations... As for Holl to wing...U. Of Minnesota did that already om the 2nd half of last season..Looked ok as a third.liner im that role...good speed and checking witj some good size and chipping in a bit with some scoring occaisionslly or at least scoring chamcrs..I think also played some PK as a winger.. so agaon could make sense to develop that..botj ate great skaters but have flaws as dmem...probably better chance if anyto make the dhow as wingers..Now maybe that too willbe Leddy's fate...as I also suggested before on these boatds.

I really wish Jaeckel would stop posting positive things about Danault.. everything he says, the opposite happens.

He was one of Saad's biggest doubters heading into the season, he's wrong 100% of the time on potential Hawk deals/players of interest, and so on and so forth.

He should just stop posing on the interweb.

JJ isn't worth the time to read his stuff. Danault impresses? that's what I say is expected. Without guys like Saad and Teräväinen he is the best prospect at the camp
