Ryan Carpenter (22/1991) Oviedo, FL, USA
6-1 185 C/F Bowling Green State University

2011-12 BGSU 44gp 11g 19a 30pts 31PIM +4 (on a last place team)
2012-13 BGSU 41gp 18g 15a 33pts 20PIM +12 (team got better but still midpack)

Named CCHA 2nd team all star this season.

Named Captain as a sophomore, has led team in scoring in both his seasons at BG. Not a very physical player but very tough and hard to get off the puck. Two Way Center kills penalties, plays on the PP, first line center. Has decent speed/good skater, good postioning, great leader on and off the ice (all academic team), scores clutch goals. He isn't really a sniper and not really a playmaker, does a little of both all the time, however at times he can get hot and it seems like he scores on every shot he takes.

Some negatives are that he is strong and a gym rat but he can get moved around a little too much in the corners and doesn't really go to the net, he likes to play in the circles, and he has been weak at faceoffs.

But overall he is a really solid player and a great leader without a lot of hype playing on a bad team as a freshman (however the team came together and went from last in the standings to a final 4 CCHA tourney run) and a mid-pack team as a sophomore.

At least he can score in the shootout. Reminded me of Kane.
he's the one at the end.

I don't think there will be any issue here. The incident where Anthony collided with Seth was misrepresented. Camara clearly was trying to avoid him but Seth had his head down and the result looked ugly.

I see Camara stirring things up in Camp that is his nature. He can be a force when he plays with an edge but not over it

I have been last 2 years, very good time! Will there be any scrimmages this year, I could have sworn they posted which practices they will scrimmage, unless they just scrimmage every practice?\

They don't scrimmage every practice, no. Usually the ones later in camp. Check the schedule on the Bruins website (a good thing to do anyway in case of time changes) as they might update it to include the scrimmage times.

I believe Bill Ladd (regular poster here) did a very good one last year if I'm remembering correctly. I'm sure there will be lots of posts with links in the forum.

I was hoping that they were going to re-name the camp in his honor.

Most interested to see Seth Griffith and Rob O'Gara. It would be a huge boost to an already deep prospect pool if those two late round picks can reach some of their ceiling.

It's almost hard to imagine how young they are at 17-18 years of age. The Swedish (incl Slovak) trio is as far from each other as you can going by personality.
The big comedian and also by the looks, very nice and friendly off the ice is charming Albin Blidh. On and off the ice, however, he reminds me very much of a taller version of Brad Marchand. He was far from sure he was going to be drafted, but, he got himself an agent just in case. He shoots alot, stands up for his teammates and can skate and score. Tough by Swedish standard, so don't let his boyish nature fool you. Linus Arnesson is kind of more mature, calm and is more physically developed than the other two. My feeling though, and shared by most people here, is the tall and fast developing Slovak Peter Cehlarik. Started at the U18 level, then U20 level to play a regular shift at the end of the season in the top Swedish Elite League. All three competed internationally. Cehlarik almost exploded this season and he is my favorite to become an NHL player but we'll see. Brody Silk is in Detroit. I can't believe what a site they have for their prospects and development camp. It's outstanding. I hope he may show up in the fall at the Bruins rookie camp. Really liked what I've seen from him. Hope we get some live info fram Dev Camp. It's very interesting every year

He plays any role, powerplay penalty kills ,Top 6 forward but would be a 3rd 4th line guy at the next level. Won hardest worker for the wolves as well. The reason he was passed was due to his bad luck with injuries. If he stays healthy he will be an absolute steal and plays Boston bruins hockey

Sounds like Gregory Campbell

I'm really interested in O'Gara. Really think he could turn into a good late round pick and excited to see what he can do.

O'Gara is a good prospect. This is his third development camp and he is blogging about the experience on the B's web site. Here is Day 1: http://bruins.nhl.com/index.html

In this blog he talks about what he needed to learn from past camps and how his experience at Yale is helping him grow as a player. Good stuff.
