If you asked me 3 years ago if the Rangers would be able to re-sign everybody, I would have said you were crazy. We are not far from doing it.

Good, glad they got him signed. This is a prove-it contract.

About even, IMO, but Falk has some room to grow. Eminger is what he is at this point.

I wouldn't be surprised if Eminger was asking for over $1m.

Only took some bigtime roster turnover to make it a reality. Dreams do come true.

I had him at 1 mil in my initial projections, figuring that was the max he would get. But if I had to pick a number, it would have been 925k, since we would be able to bury him with no cap penalties. Either way, it's fine. Hard to quibble over 50k.

So will Falk and Johnson be in the press-box? Or just one with the other in Hartford?

His QO was 1-way and his last contract was 1-way. I'm sure this one is too.

I 'd think his last contract would be irrelevant. He was not going to be qualified by the wild.
I missed the 1 way in his QO, thanks.

All things being equal (Staal healthy, Del Zotto on the team), one in press box (Falk), one in the minors (Johnson).

Not a fan of this logic. I prefer...

he will throw some big hits, and take penalties... will fit in.. at least he uses his size... i with some of the other players that are around 6'4 or 6'7 that know how to use their size.

Nash is only slightly less physical than Falk and Boyle more so. If you expect a consistent physical presence, prepare to be disappointed unless Falk reinvents his game.

I really don't understand why people like players that take penalties. Understandably, some players that play on the edge take penalties. In general, penalties are bad. Most penalties that leave you shorthanded are dumb, lazy and careless penalties.

Under Torts reign it was better to take a penalty than to draw one. With the PP and all. Will see where it goes now. Unfortunately not being entirely sarcastic here...

What does McDonagh's cap hit have to do with being able to extend Lundqvist? Basically nothing. lol

I agree. Except that Lundqvist, Girardi, Brassard, Callahan, and del Zotto need to be re-signed after next year.

What do you think they will get? Lundqvist - 8-9M, Callahan 5+, Girardi 5+, del Zotto (trade?) or 4+, Brassard (depending on his season) 4+. That will be difficult.

I think you've just overpaid everyone on that list.

Cap Geek has it listed today as a one-way.
