Yak/Eberle for OEL

Both teams dealing from a strength to address a weakness.

To Phoenix - Jordan Eberle or Nail Yakupov

To Edmonton - OEL

Go!

OEL is the most overrated player in the league on these boards, so it would take Yak + Eberle and then some in order to pry his holiness out of Phoenix.

OEL has more value than either so i think the Oilers have to add a pick or another player.

We'll make a Doughty thread if it will make you feel better.

Makes ZERO sense for Phoenix to trade OEL. He is a legit #1 dman and is only, what, 22 AND signed to a good contract.

OP talks about trading from strength yet offers their 3rd or 4th guy for the Coyotes top guy.

I was thinking that but wasnt sure what the overall feeling around here would be. What do you think Edmonton would have to add?

For a franchise forward and top 20 scorer is the value not somewhat close? Especially considering how deep Phoenix's d core is could be win win?

Would Edmonton fans trade Yak or Eberle for Yandle?

It would take something stupid like Nuge, Yakupov, and Klefbom to even get that conversation started. I'm dead serious. Let's stop while we are ahead.

I think Yakupov for Yandle is more reasonable

You clearly don't watch much of OEL if you honestly and truly feel that way. Only downfall in his game is he's not overly physical.

This trade only works if it's Yaq AND Eberle.

OEL is a great defenceman, don't get me wrong but no way in hell is he worth that. I would do Ebs for him straight and that is pretty fair really.

Phoenix has no reason whatsoever to get rid of OEL.

Eberle and Yak fit the system that the Oilers been drafting for and Oliver Ekman-Larsson fits the style of a Coach Tippet team. Don't see how Eberle or Yak fits a Coach Tippet team ( at least enough to trade Oliver for)! Just hope that Klefborn or Nurse can turn out as good as OEL and the Coyotes will hope that Max will be as good as Hall.

We have one player on the Coyotes that is considered untouchable...one...yet everybody makes proposals to get him

Seriously though, OEL is our franchise Dman, it would have to be an offer we simply couldn't refuse to get Maloney to bite on it. It would have to be a lopsided trade.

Yes, go right ahead and think that. Surely your scoring winger is worth as much as a #1D.
