It's an important game. One way to guarantee a playoff spot is to beat your division rivals. Each one is a 4 point game in a season long playoff race.

Toronto isn't doing that well, but they have this uncanny ability to bring their A game when you least expect it.

Boston game didn't end up being a walk in the park. I don't see why the Leafs would cooperate Saturday night. As always, should be a fun game though.

I see that Latendresse is still listed on the second line... frankly I think it's a mistake; I would put back the lines like they were two games ago, or maybe switch Sammy and Perez... but Latendresse isn't ready for the second line, it was painfully obvious last game and I fear we are dangerously exposing him to opponents and critics alike.

We can't put the toothpaste back into the tube. Latendresse is here, and that's a fact. If he plays and scores, everyone will be satisfied. If he doesn't score, there will be grumbling from many--not only about Latendresse but also about Carbonneau. If he doesn't play, there will be grumbling from some and a chorus of "I told you so" from others. I hope he succeeds because that's the only way there will be lasting peace on this forum.

do you remember how this guy reacted last year when somebody made a GDT before him?

He was crushed

As for the game itself....

These games are always close aside from a couple games last season where the leafs imploded.

I dont put much stock into how the teams are currently playing becuase habs/leafs games are the types of games that can turn your slump around or vise versa.

As good as our PK has been... toronto's PP still scares me.

I predict another one goal game... it seems to be a trend when these 2 teams hook up

I want to make two important statements:

1) Habs will beat the Leafs

2) Saw 3 was awesome

I know it will most likley be a close one but I would really like to see the Habs put the hammer to the Leafs. But believe me the Leafs will be hungry tommorrow night.

After getting absolutely owned the last two games the Leafs might be hungry and angry tonight...it will be a close one for sure.

4-3 Habs

Well, they were a force last year (on the PP) and they pretty much have the same guys.

It doesn't mean that they will stay 22nd forever.

Just like it doesn't mean that we will necessarily stay 3rd forever......

Its still too early to put a whole bunch of stock into these rankings. So far, the habs have been excellent on special teams but there's a lot of flip flopping going on in the rankings at this time of the season.

The main components of that leaf PP that was so good last season are still there... you got McCabe as the point threat. You got sundin who masters the half boards... and you got tucker who is ver successful standing at the side of the net and getting goals.

As much as I want the Habs to lay the smack on the Leafs, it seems that besides the 2 blowouts to end last season every game between these teams is a tight one. I predict 5 - 3 Habs (Kovalev with 2, Latendresse with his first, Johnson, and Higgins icing the game with a goal into the empty net)

I am pumped for this game GO HABS GO!!

You didn't say please. Besides, you're just like all the rest of Leaf Nation, you try to lull us into a false sense of security & then your team comes out & plays the way they always play the Habs, real tough.

I expect a close game, perhaps until late, if the Habs are skating. If not it could go either way, as always. If the Habs skate, we should be able to take advantage of your injuries on the blueline.

Latendresse on the second line and Perez on the fourth? Carbo has been smoking some good crack.

Toronto at Montreal on a Saturday night? Can't get much better than that... Although, I don't know if I'll be able to watch the game due to a Halloween party (ahh!).

Toronto will be looking to bounce back so I expect a tight and exciting game... with the Habs as the victor, of course.

You guys have been playing exciting classy hockey lately - we have had an astonishingly lousy defensive game. We need to turn it around or tonight will be another loss.

I just dropped by to wish for an exciting, competitive game to be won by the team working harder (whoever that team is) and that neither team suffer any injuries.

And bon chance to an interesting bunch of Habs and their great fans.
