Hall - Nugent-Hopkins - Eberle

They will be a top 5 line in the NHL.

Fans may have a boner for Eberle because hes some kind of folk hero, but Yak is the better player

Yak is the better player for sure, but we have a boner for Eberle because he's a 30 goal 70 point player.

I think unless there is undeniable chemistry and production from one line or another created from the top 6, I would say that they are just two rotating 1a and 1b lines that are somewhat interchangeable.

Voted Eberle. Yakupov will retire from the NHL sooner rather than later.

I like, Hall - Gagner - Yakupov as the first line and Perron - RNH - Eberle, as the second line. I say try it for a month or 2 if it's clicking keep it if not try a few other combinations.

With Gagner and RNH as centers and a 1a/1b setup, there are 4 combinations that can be tried:

Hall-RNH-Eberle
Perron-Gagner-Yakupov

Hall-RNH-Yakupov
Perron-Gagner-Eberle

Perron-RNH-Eberle
Hall-Gagner-Yakupov

Perron-RNH-Yakupov.
Hall-Gagner-Eberle

There are arguments to be made for any of these, and I figure they should all be tried. My instinct says number 3 could be great, but who knows.

Size and grit aside, EDM's top-6 is really well balanced in regards to left & right shots, playmakers, and snipers.

We're damn lucky to have both... flip a coin really. Both can snipe and get clutch goals. Both are solid play-makers as well.

Going to be fun watching them dominate in the years to come.
