Are you interested in Patrik Stefan?

Should we go back to Dallas and grab another player who doesn't seem to be good enough to play for them but might be a good option since:

1- He does have some good offensive abilities though may be a little overrated

2- Has great size but doesn't use his body too much.

3- Has some defensive awareness to go with his offensive abilities

4- Has only played for 2 teams, while didn't play too much for Dallas....

5- Has some history with injuries though.....

6- Would't cost too much, he's not even playing right now....

Maybe we could send back Niniimaa for him.....

But seriously, I don't see how they could ask for a lot. He's not playing at all right now.

Saw on NHLPA this his salary for this year is 900,000$, don't know if he's UFA next year or what is his status.....

If he were already on our team, or a UFA, sure I'd give him a try, but a) He's injured
b) We'd have to give up something in return
c) I'm not sure he's any better than Plekanec.

I like his size, but every bio says he doesn't use it, and that line needs someone to crash the net, not another playmaker.

How can I answer politely? he's an overrated player who has done jack with a great offensive team and his defensive skill is lacking...now thats the best I could put it...

Same kind of answer some said about getting Petr Sykora...

Not saying he would be #1 in the league for points in December, but I'm pretty curious if we find out that Pleks is not doing the job, who we will get when we need to :

1- Get somebody not too expense hence the Salary Cap

2- And since everybody here thinks everybody is untouchable, we then need to find someone who won't cost that much in terms of picks or players. It's not by trading Milroy or Locke that you'll have something valuable.....

Well when Samsonov loses the puck on a dangle, Allison is slow enough that he'll be catching up just in time to grab it. We'll call it the "Samso-pass".

Patrick Stefan, like his 1989 draft predecessor,is prematurely bald. So, it's a risk.

Tell me one thing wrong with Sergei Berezin.

I always thought he would've made a great mentor for Dagenais.

No, Begin is supernaturally bald, and therefore a good fit.

I'm new here actually.

I've been floating around getting a feel for the board and I am a huge Hab fan. I can't say I understand the unhappiness with Niinimaa. I feel he's been very steady and seems to be playing as well or better than I expected.

His guarentee the other day might of been a bad move, but I think it shows he's already becoming a voice in that dressing room. In terms of good characters on D, Markov is pretty quiet, Souray is quiet off the ice. I'd say Rivet and Niinimaa are good off-ice leaders.

I don't know if I should start a new thread with this and you all with probably rip my post to shreds but can someone explain the hate on Niinimaa? I don't know about all of you, but I don't want Ribiero back...

Welcome to the board, and I agree (for the most part) with what you're saying about Niinimaa. I don't know why that's in here, but I appreciate what he brings to the team offensively and depth-wise.

I was 9 years old when he was drafted, what was his potential back then? I know it was a really weak draft but did he had the potential to be a super star?
