Of course, All-Star Games are often painful to look at anyway (a gallery of past designs, many of them regrettable, is here). The real issue is what the new teamplate will mean if teams are forced to adopt it next season. Over on the Chris Creamer boards yesterday, aspiring designers were busily coming up with their concepts of what the league might look like next season — judge the results for yourself here, here, here, here, here, and — gasp — here.
As far as I can tell from reading the article, these aren't the actual leaked jerseys - they're just artist renderings of what people think the new jerseys will look like. You should change your topic title if that is in fact the case.
Yes.. these were made by Chris Creamer's sports logos forum by members.
As Carbo has mentioned, these are not actual official designs. They are concepts created by members of a different forum. The reason why many speculate that this "could" be the style is because apparently RBK wants to use a single template to make most of the teams. Earlier this week, the all-star jerseys were unveiled, and many thought that those jerseys would be the template for the new RBK jerseys.
I'm changing the title of this thread to reflect this piece of information.
The retro white jersey (like the one they weared against Boston) are damn nice. The only think they need to modify are the damn numbers in the back who are hard to read, but aside from this they are the closest thing from to perfection available on this planet
The Canadiens red jersey has been effectively unchanged for about 70 years; the white one almost as long. RBK can get stuffed if they think they can mess with perfection.
Werd! I think all those jerseys suck, real or not. Reminds me of the crappy Olympic ones in Turin. What is the point of the stuff on the sides and in the armpit area? Seriously, I do not understand newer teams doing that to their sweaters. Just makes them look worse.
