Just dropped my Mom off at her house after getting Dad settled in the nursing home for his rehab stay.
You wouldn't believe all the crap my mother had to read & sign to get him admitted. I shouldn't be surprised since I work in insurance but jeez louise....
Thank God this week from hell is almost over. Now if we can just get him to do what he needs to do, which is going to be a challenge to say the least. He thinks he is ready to come home now. I had a good laugh when he said that. He didn't think it was funny. He also doesn't think it is funny that none of us [mom, sister or me] will let him have his cell phone. We keep telling him he is there to rest & recover but he's not having it.
If anything will motivate him it is the knowledge that he won't be allowed to leave until he reaches his rehab goals. Stay tuned....
Thanks again guys & girls for all the support. LFers are the bestest.
I have positions open in Business Intelligence (Database Developers & Business Analysts), Finance (Senior Accountant), Operations (Training Manager & IT Business Manager) and then a bunch of clinical roles. There are other types of roles available too but I'm not managing those ones.
Any idea what you want to get into? I can look to see what other kind of roles we have.
Not even quite sure what your company does, but I'd be interested if you have anything remotely in my field. Anything statistics-related? Like maybe in your marketing department?
Then again...you are probably looking for someone with...well, relative working experience and isn't 21 years of age.
I really wish AMTRAK wasn't so much more. I paid $28 each way for the bus. AMTRAK would've been $109...each way. Ridiculous.
Yup, that's his issue. He went down for a concert last night and to stay with friends and wasn't sure about the plan for today so didn't get a return ticket home. Wasn't able to get on a bus until 6:00, which means he's never getting home.
Lucky Star/Fung Wah getting shut down has really ****ed up Boston --> NYC travel. The roads are safer, but much more inconvenient.
