I hope he recovers 100% from his surgery and gets some training in and bulks back up asap. I'll leave the pts predictions to others... I'd just like him to come back healthy and in the best condition possible.

If he scores ~60 points, what do you guys think his next contract will look like? Will he still get the 6mill per like Hall and Ebs?

Those are top five numbers in the NHL.

And probably Norris range for Shultz.

Shoot for the stars though, I guess.

I think if they get off to a good start.....look out. I really think this is the year that we takeoff. It has to be. Hall is gonna be in beast mode right off the bat. Nuge will be ready to go. Probably 10 lbs heavier too. Yak is Yak....he's always ready to play. No sophmore slump there. He's too motivated.

Do we actually know how RNH is progressing with his recovery? Has anyone heard anywhere how he's doing and how he's feeling following the surgery and where he's at with his training regimen in this off-season?

I assume the training would be much more limited but there's probably still some things that he can do to keep in shape and prepare for the season.

Dare to dream.

None if them will hit 90, Hall might tickle 80, the other 2 will be lucky to hit 70.

I think Eberle will hit 70 again this year.

Don't forget that Hall also got extra time to heal, strengthen up, and get into game shape with the lockout and playing in OKC. I just hope we don't rush things with Nuge.. make sure he's 199% before any contact.

It will depend on how healthy he is when he comes back IMO, if he's 100% I could see him flirting with a PPG all season long.

I think as goes RNH, so go the Oilers. Hall may be the engine that powers the car, but RNH is the wheels that make it go anywhere.

The main reason we didn't improve the way we wanted to last year IMO, despite everything else, was because RNH was hurt and had a sophomore slump.

That's not to blame solely him, but to illustrate how important he is to this franchise.

The one thing that has really held RNH back was playing through the shoulder injury. That's why he wasn't scoring goals, but he would still make plays. If his shoulder is healed and he's 100% I could see him score around 70 points, maybe more. There are four (or five if Hemsky stays) talented wingers for him to play with on this team.

RNH is an elite player in the making. Once he's fully grown I could see him scoring around 35 goals, he really knows how to pick his shots and he's so shifty.

The Nuge? I think he'll miss some of the start of the season, so I see it this way.

65gp 20g 43a 63pts 48.9 FO%

I see him with Thornton light numbers during his career. 20 - 30g and 50 - 65a.
I see him getting 65 - 70p this year if healthy.

as long as his shooting percentage goes up about 3-4% i will be happy. his rookie year he sniped 1 out of every 4 clean looks he got, he struggled with that last season be it the shoulder or sophmore slump or whatever. If that gets better he becomes exponentially more dangerous because his passing and set up is elite. if he is a threat to score it opens the ice up a lot.

the way the timetable is for the injury it is possible. but i think that timeline was pretty modest. I hope they dont rush him back but i think we see him play the final 2 preseason games and play the season.

Hope so! Very disappointed the way the Oiler's brass handled it. Water under the bridge now though..
