Like i said before, I've watched him about 30ish times or so throughout his career. And i just watched the Canadians camp on youtube. He needs TONS of work. Skating, Puck control, Speed, Weight loss, Feet balance (Fighting) and just fighting period. Is weight takes over his skating ability and speed, which makes him very slow. His puck controlling is very bad. He also needs to lose 10-15 pounds to get quicker.

But he is good along the boards, and in front of the net.

Skating 2/5
Hands 1/5
Speed 2/5
Shot 3/5
Strength 4/5
Fighting Ability 3/5
Size (Height, Weight) 4/5 (Needs to lose weight)

Overall: 4/10 right now.

NHL ready prediction: If he doesn't work on his skating ability, Speed, Puck control, Weight loss. He will luckily make his debut in 5-7 years. IF he does work good on those things and brings them up a notch:3-4 years.

Comparable: Dustin Penner.
_____________________________

Also if he doesn't work on those things, Canadian fans are going to be very made on this pick. But im trying to explain to them that don't think this kid will be ready in 2 years, and don't think he's a 30+ Goal scorer.

Another thing is could he be like an Anthony Stewart? Go high in the draft due to size. And never really make the NHL?

Nope. You disagree because your a hardcore Canadian fan. Ive watched him a lot. I know what most of his ability's are. His fighting ability is not good, it needs to be worked on. You guy's are overrating his ability's just because he went in the 1st round. If you've watched him a lot you would know.

Anyway, i'll take Timmins's word before you're "scouting" report. I think Timmins knows better.

Well im just saying, he needs tons of work clearly Timmin's thinks that to. If he didn't need that much work Timmin's wouldn't of told him to go to London. The OHL plays more games, and trains better then the NCAA. So they want him to get better. Don't get me wrong i love the way he plays but right now at this moment he has more bad ability's then good. And i want to see them become even or all good. To do that he needs to work on it.

Look at his skating, puck handling etc. On youtube during the camp. And look at his fights, well there isnt much fights i think there's like one but he lost.

If you cant see my flag to the left. It's American. Whats McCarron? American. Ive seen him play more then 95% of you Canadian fans. Guaranteed.

But yeah, i guess we will have to find out.

Just because you have watched him more doesnt mean that your opinion is more valid than ours.

I will trust one of the best, if not the premier, head scout in the NHL. All he needs is Character, Work Ethic and Hockey Sense.

Look at the leaps Gallagher took, McCarron will be fine.

Account is set up and ready to go.

As for his skating, I'll take several reports of many scouts who have all echoed the same thing; while skating needs to be worked on, it is still good for how big he is. The tools are there and his stint with London will definitely help. He is in the right hands.

I said it on twitter, but I'll say it again, I'm really glad you're doing the same thing for McCarron as you did for Galchenyuk.

That makes no sense.. "Just because you have watched him more doesnt mean that your opinion is more valid than ours"

If you. Yourself has never seen a player play in your life. You have no word in anything. You can't just assume that someones good just because they got drafted in the 1st round. Look at these guys: Ben Eager 23rd overall pick. (Same reasons they drafted Eager and McCarron, Size, Strength, Etc) Hugh Jessiman: 12th overall pick. Anthony Stewart 25th overall pick. Boris Valabik (D) Size. Jeff Schultz (D) Size. Sasha Pokulok (D) Size. Matt Pelech, Joe Finley. Kyle Beach 6''3 210 pounds (Drafted due to toughness, size.) ETC.

Seems like they don't learn there lessons. But McCarron i really hope he gets better all around.

I don't know why there is so much hype about this year's 1st round draft pick. I don't remember there being so much fallout when we drafted Tinordi, Beaulieu or Leblanc...

That's what im saying.. Canadian fans are going crazy because they pick McCarron. Why didn't they do that for them.. McCarron how it looks now hes not close to being ready, and fans are all up on him like he's ready.
