He doesnt look at his best, I agree, but to say he is playing bad and Huet will be in the 2nd is just wrong. He has been on the bench since last Saturday, I think he needed a period to get back at game speed, He will be solid the rest of the game.

If we get our legs going, we'll be back in the game in no time.

DISCIPLINE, stay out of the box, let Higgins, Ryder and Koivu work their magic,

I prefer a combination of both......2 years.....only 2 years......

They were down by 3 goals last week... not too worry people. They just need to be a little more discipline and move the puck a little better.

And why the hate for Lats? I thought he played great. Threw some big hits... and skated out and icing call!

Murray is one diimentional. all hes good at is playing on the pk. Hes not going to make anything happen on offense. I think murray is really slowing that fourth line down. Hes a good guy but man his hockey abilities and talent are very limited. We should keep one of murray and downey, not both. We need some young blod on the fourth line. A lapierre, kositsyn etc.

******* typical.
Leafs don't have to play all that well. Turnovers in the defensive zone, no hustle along the boards, we get constantly beaten to loose pucks, bad penalities and a very average goaltending performance.

Let's be positive, can hardly get worse. They'll get "talked to" in between periods I assume, I think we'll come out stronger in the 2nd.

Samsonov looks like there's a little fire burning under his butt. Let's hope it keeps burning.

Our vets on D have to pick their game up in their zone. This is getting ridiculous.

Sluggish play in all three zones. Poor goaltending. The 3-1 score after the first shouldn't surprise anyone.

Can we put any pressure on the Leafs?!? I would say that the Leafs look a much better team right now (at least this period). We are spending way too much time in our own end. Aebi has been kinda shaky but the defense is not helping at all

I don't think I can watch period number 2 and will instead look here for updates. Usually that helps the Habs (I did same vs Avalanche, ie. I didnt watch the 3rd period). Sacrifices

Play Johnson-Bonk and Saks-Higgs and you can have Pleks-Bégin if you like. We don't need Murray right now, he's not doing it, total liability. You have Bégin who shouldn't play at that position, you have Perez who shouldn't play on the 4th and you have Murray who shouldn't play period.....That line won't help, a total liability....

I have to take the blame for the first 2 goals. I had forgotten to wear my special Habs wristbands. I put them on, came downstairs and Sammy scored. I will keep them from now on.

I don't know if I can watch the rest of the game...Need to study and I already ate quite a bit, so I can't say "I'm just eating now, I can take a break"

No one said anything when he was playing on the PK and it was the best in the league.

But seriously guys. I'm going to piss alot of you guys off by saying this...but in the new NHL, a guy like Latendresse looks so out of place. Him and Antropov are the slowest players on the ice tonight. Right now, the only thing that Lats is good for is hitting. Hopefully he is our future power forward, but hopefully one that can score too. You need speed in the new NHL and the guy seriously needs work on his skating. I know i'm jumping the gun, as the kid is only 19..but if he wants to be an effective player/scorer in the NHL, he must learn how to skate. I've seen kids playing Junior B who can probably skate circles around Lats.

Begin and Murray are the last players I would expect to regress after a big contract. I'm so disappointed with them.

Were lucky its 3-1. If it was the old leafs from there 100 point season it could be 5-1 as we speak.

Im really not looking foward to the sens game. Carbo better spend all practise working on there defensive zone coverage. We were down 3-0 vs colorado and socred 8 goals. Stay out of the box, and stay away from the brain cramps.

We really will have to talk about Pleks contribution soon. He had 1 good shift, but keeps getting outmuscled every single time. One that struck me was against Ian White....not Hal Gill, 4'2'' Ian White.....

Is it me or he seems weaker than last year????

Well Bégin is not playing his role right now so that's understandable. But Murray is playing the only role he knows and playing it really badly.....
