Heads-up:

Last month, Dan Brown released his latest book (a Langdon); Inferno

I finished it last night. I guarantee, it'll be a movie in a year or so.

If you're not into art, or renaissance literature, the title will not ring a bell. It's based around Dante's classic "The Divine Comedy", and it's an excellent read, with an unlooked for plot twist.

Best book I've read in some-time.

I wonder how it would have been if it was the other way round and the dog owner in this case shot a police dog.

As you can clearly see by the HF code of conduct, flaming and trolling are two totally different things

So yesterday (today for North America). I fell getting off a bus and sprained my ankle. I think I'm incapable of injuring myself in normal ways

Anyone going to Brazil for the 2016 Olympics?

Things are done differently there and fans are passionate like no others for their soccer players.

I love Brazilian people, but I'm not impressed by their government. They're not meeting the needs of their people. The people are being heavily taxed for having an Olympics and World Cup.

As an American, what does government have to do with the needs of the people?

Mods, I hope that doesn't stray too close to politics. I promise I'll leave my post at that.

I'm late seeing this. The dog "Max" was sniffing the ground when the officer lined up his gun and shot the dog. He didn't look dangerous to me. The officer's should really have told the owner to take control of his animal. Really why were the officers targeting this guy? He was walking a large dog? Very disturbing.

Quote:
Rosby was arrested for Obstruction of Justice for playing loud music, walking a large dog, and getting too close to officers according to police.

The statement said all of that in its entirety distracted officers from their dangerous work.
So Rodney King.

Fake, idiot reporter fell for it: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/0...ef=mostpopular

Quote:
On Friday, Bay Area Fox affiliate KTVU told viewers the purported names of the pilots on Asiana Flight 214.

The problem was that the names — "Sum Ting Wong," "Wi Tu Lo," "Ho Lee Fuk" and "Bang Ding Ow" — were obviously fake. The news anchor read the names off the teleprompter and didn't bat an eye, adding that the information had been confirmed by the National Transportation Safety Board.

anyone lose power because of the snake?

ARLINGTON, Va. — A snake that slithered into some electrical equipment apparently caused a power outage for 10,000 customers in Arlington and Alexandria overnight.
Dominion Virginia Power says the reptile disrupted the electricity substation on Four Mile Run just after 11 p.m. Saturday.

Ahh my old thrash metal band. Someone uploaded the three song demo we recorded with Alex Perialas at Pyramid Studios in NY. Feel free to guess which one is me and mock me for the long hair.
