It's all about timing. He waited until last minute and think most people liked the Pominville and Gaustad haul. No. Did well on Leopold and Regehr too.

Too early to judge Darcy yet. You can ague his drafts have been cruddy and his choice of coach too but he maximizes at deadline. Briere/Drury don't count. Golisanta wouldn't pay. He did ok on Campbell too.

Let's wait a it on Miller and Vanek. For the record, I give Vanek and 8 Year $60 deal right now, if he's interested.

I see him getting at least his 10 games with Buffalo. Hope he stays the full year. I'm so excited about Buffalo's future!

Judging by our current defense, unless he has a pretty good camp I don't think he's in Buffalo this year.

Tallinder - Myers
Ehrhoff - Pysyk
Weber - McBain
Sulzer

We already have seven NHL defensemen and Brayden McNabb waiting for a recall. Pysyk should almost certainly be a lock, although I think there's a small chance he might start the year in Rochester again. I'd be pretty surprised to see either Ristolainen or Zadorov make our team this year honestly. As pumped as our fans are, unless either blows us away in the coming months I think it's best for them to keep playing where they are.

As for Ristolainen, good to get the ELC out of the way. That's always good for a high pick. As for the AHL debate, I'd be surprised to see him in Rochester. He's apparently still signed in Finland. Let him play there. He's playing against men there anyway and will still get a lot of minutes. Absolutely no need to rush him over here. It's very common for Europeans to stay.

unless its changed 9 ggames was the max of NHL games you can play when 18 or 19 without burning a year on the ELC. He plays max of 9 or he earned a job for the season.

If he is able to go to Rochester i see them having him play there until December/January, then call him up when an injury happens and then he has a shot to earn a job.
