Brilliant move by Hufnagel. The Esks probably would have cut him.

howard just can't stay healthy.... i'm wondering if he's gonna get cut soon because of it... i guess it depends on how lang does... if lang can hold his own, i could see them letting howard go... he doesn't do us any good when he is *constantly* injured

what is his problem? I thought he was supposed to be healthy, but he doesn't playin the preseason asn seems to have not practiced all year.
I like the guy, but does anyone know what the issue is?

and really, if that's the best the esks can do for a #1 receiver is send out someone who is hurt, what does that say about the rest of the receiving group?

sorry moneyguy, but the esks don't have a deep group.
they have a a star who is chronically injured and a couple of average guys at best.

so i see Hervey also pulled out the word "rebuild" earlier this week. I guess he's already lining up his excuses for the esks having a bad year.
sorry Ed, the esks have been rebuilding for 6 years. I won't have much patience for your version of it.

Someone opines that our receivers suck in 3...2...1....
Seems like everybody is but nice dig there guy. Funny how a year later everybody agreeing with me that this group of receivers ain't much.

Now that we have a good QB its becoming more obvious where a problem lies. Also, to the point is the Oline was fine in Hamilton. Still though not much of a passing game had in that game. Charles was the biggest weapon.

As far as the bolded if I see Coohoern manage to break a tackle to get a first down I'll be pleased. If I see Chambers hanging onto a ball I'll be pleased. Its been Stamps and Koch and not much else. Coohoern gets a lot of passes in the flat in one on one coverage that he does nothing with. The guy has no shake and bake cut whatsoever. Watch a guy like Charles lose a guy like a bad habit.

81 yards receiving and a nice one hand grab in his first game off the practice roster, give the guy his props he wants it

I'm more disgusted by the assertion of a "re-build" in the Canadian Football League. I've said it time and time again: They don't exist in this league. You assess talent, you bring talent in and if that talent meshes then you win football games.

For sure...quite an auspicious debut for Sinopoli.
He has very good size at 6'4"/210 lbs and he is an excellent athlete.
His experience as a QB gives him some insight into patterns and he is showing that he has pretty good hands as well. Assuming he sticks with the team the fact that he is a Canadian is an added bonus for the Stamps.

Anyone know if this game will be televised??? It's not showing it on shaw, I know they black out some games but for them to do it this early in the season is pretty bad. Can't remember them blacking out too many games in the last couple of years.

At somepoint the CFL may figure out that the probability of it raining and with intense storm like right now is pretty imminent in evenings. While all day it was good weather. Go figure. This is Canadian weather pattern to anybody paying attention.

Maybe if they want fans to come out at all afternoon games is a thought.

Seems like weather is getting worse and worse. Can't remember if it was last year or year before but it was ****** weather EVERY evening home game. Every one.

Its funny how Golf, Rugby, Tennis, Soccer, Track and Field, Cycling, Triathlone, College football, basically ever other professional sport have enough sense to have events during the day. In football people must get their bell rung too hard or something to think about it logically.

ftr I'm not going because the forecast all day has been for intense thunderstorms for tonight. Which is the forecast pretty much most days now. rinse, lather, repeat.

Ya that ball couldn't have been placed any better than that.

Blame it on the rain I guess...

Well, the weather is probably the biggest weapon for Edmonton right now against BC, so yes?

I'm following along on twitter and it sounds they're beating themselves through their own stupidity and incompetence... Even though they're winning the game.

Penalties are just brutal by the esks
If they don't clean that up they won't be winning very many games
