OT: Boogaard knocks out Fedoruk (Video)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8c59ZN8APog

WOW. Fedoruk is on the injured reserve list now. I guess Boogaard really did some damage. Funny thing was that Fedoruk instigated the whole thing. Bet he wishes he could go back in time.

Boogaard is pretty much the poster boy of a goon. Question is, would you want to see him in a Bruins uniform? I sure as hell would.

this is the one guy who I think could take Chara in a fight... I would love to have him in a B's uniform he can actually skate realtively well.

Boogard is the best fighter in the leage right now. Simply amazing how he can destroy any heavyweight in the league.

Laraque may have something to say about that, he beat him last year

What I like about this video is that Boogaard really wasn't just being a goon. Fedoruk threw his glove off, grabbed Boogaard's jersey all the way down the ice, cornered him, threw punches, and it looks like he got an elbow involved before Boogaard decided he had enough and had to put him down.

O'Brien tried to "fight" Boogaard earleir that game by grabbing him and falling to his knees like he was praying not to get hit. Seems a better strategy than the Fridge's open up and flounder like a fish until your face caves in.

Great site for updated fight clips

I'm glad they didnt go a scond time, but did you see how fast Chara had McGrattons hand behind his back, using strength and leverage to drop him ? I guess it would be a good fight, but theres $37.5 million reasons why Chara shouldnt be doing much of that, as others have pointed out before.

Sometimes he just has too. In Ottawa he fought from time to time. He isn't a scary fighter but because of his monstruous reach he's hard to hit. No doubt McGrattan or Boogaard vs Chara would be a great fight.

I don't really agree with this. If you look closely at some Wild games, he's not much worse than any other fourth liner around the league.

I would also love to have him in Boston. Maybe they'd take Savard and Dempsey.

First of all, it was not a "knockout" punch. Fedoruk never lost consciousness, he jumped up immediately. Of course it was a devastating TKO punch. Players on the ice said the side of his face was caved in.

Boogard similar put down McGrattan last year. There are some question about McG's chin, and Boogaard helped make people wonder about that.

Laraque and Brashear pretty much owned Boogaard last year. Both are as strong, probably the only players who can say that. Boogaard is the most active heavyweight these days, but he'll have to beat Laraque to claim top spot.

I am not alone in saying that Boogaard is the new Probert. He has a similar nasty streak and is as tough as any you'll ever see.

Another angle. Watch the last 30 seconds of this clip. Goodbye McGrattan.

Of course.

The last shot on Fedoruk looks a lot like Lindros catching Thornton leaning in.

Sorry, but Boogaard is a textbook goon.

Did you see the other fight vs O'Brien?? The fight was nothing to comment about...but that was a pretty cheap play by Boogaard on the forecheck. He stuck his leg out as the ANA player skated by and took him out.

If that's how he plays, I don't care how good a fighter he is, I don't want him in the Black n Gold.

ps Love the new avatar Spicoli...is that a bagel in your pants or are u just happy to see me?
