Ok. Let's sit here and wait for the Clifford deal. If the Kings acquiring Carcillo leads to Clifford being deal to Montreal it should happen very soon.

Les Blackhawks échangent Daniel Carcillo aux Kings contre un choix conditionnel. #RDS

If it's really Bourque for Clifford...

Upsizing the smallest NHL team Fail.

Clifford = damaged goods (concussion problems) ..... he is certainly not worth Bourque.

If they take DD then fine, I'll approve it

they need scoring.

I wouldn't be mad if it was DD for Clifford.

Obviously DD is the better offensive player, and maybe there's a pick involved, but it would be moving something you ahve too much of, for something you need.

LOL.. i dont think anyone would be mad
we get rid of DD's contract, make room for briere to play 2C/3C and add a solid 3rd liner that has grit and knows how to play

This is true. I remember him getting rocked in a fight and I don't think he was the same when he came back but I didn't follow the Kings closely.

Guys you should know your hockey before proposing DD to LA, they have plenty of centers. And much better than Desharnais. So wht the flip would they trade Clifford for Desharnais ? Moen plus pick or mid prospect would be my guess.

Or how about one of their D's and Clifford for Gionta and pick

If we could get someone to play in the top 9 for DD I'd be over the moon. I just don't see MB signing him to 4 years then trading him the next year unfortunately.

I would. Straight up the deal would be bad. Clifford is easier to find and acquire on open market than a player like DD. Still, if LA added, why not?

Not to lend any credence to Eklund.....I will add my input to this thread.

Clifford is intriguing because he has some untapped offensive potential. He actually has decent hands and puck skills and could develop a little more with increased ice time and better linemates.

People here seem to think of him solely as a tough guy/grinder/checker but he does have the potential to be more than that.

How would the Kings afford Bourque or Desharnais?

Surely they need to cut salary?
