The last PS Game is Sept 26, that's earlier than normal isn't it? In the past pre season has gone into the first couple days of October. Wonder if this means the season will be starting earlier than normal, probably due to the Olympic break.

That would be my guess.

It varies greatly, about every other year it ends in October. However your guess on Olympic break is probably accurate.

The Ottawa Sun selected 10 games for next season with very interesting storylines. Two of them involve the Jackets:

My guesses before even reading the article: Rangers @ Jackets (Nash) and Jackets @ Flyers (for Bobrovsky).

EDIT: G-dDAMN I'm good.

EDIT #2: "Rude reception" for Nash? Not unless the guy's talking about the on-ice results.

I'm sure there will be some who greet Nash rudely, but I suspect neither you nor I will be among them.

I know its different when he's here, but when they showed Nash during an Around the NHL highlight reel in Nationwide during the last game, the crowd was booing.

I'll boo anyone that asks to leave my team, hence why I usually lose my voice at Kings games.

To be fair the cheers FOR Nash were louder than the boos, at least in the area I sit. I don't get the hate, in my mind what Rick Nash did for hockey in Columbus is second only to Mr. Mac.

Haters gonna hate. Boo'ers gonna boo. Some groups and individuals get off on that kind of attention-seeking and negativity. Not my style.

Okay, I remember reading somewhere that the NHL likes to release its schedule on the day after the MLB All Star Game since they wouldn't have any competition for sports news. Today would have been absolutely perfect to announce the Olympic deal and the schedule!! Now whenever they do release the info will get buried after some pre-season football news...lol

I'm not a hater, but I'll boo Nash. I won't get off on it, either
