Meltzer wrote an article about our lack of 2nd round picks a little before the draft. Look it up. It's a good read.

Just noticed that in 2006 they could have taken Lucic twice before Boston did.

It sounds like Carcillo is singing with the Kings.

Traded, he still is under contract for next year at 825K.

Also Eklund just tweeted that Clifford may be headed to Montreal. Seems like we might have a little action today in the hockey world.

Any word on if Upshall & Lupul will be joining Carbomb as well?

The arms race for size/toughness continues in the former Northeastern Division. Poor Detroit.

Carcillo to LA for a conditional 2015 pick.

Edit: It's a 6th round pick that turns into a 5th round pick if Carcillo plays for 40 games for LA.

Dustin Penner signs with Anaheim for 1 year/$2M. So maybe Carcillo just replaces him instead of moving Clifford out.

I literally tried to find one positive about LA bringing Carcillo in and couldn't find one. Anyone want to help out?

Wait... let me get this straight... LA thinks Carbomb is a solid replacement for Clifford if he's traded?

Bahahahahahahaha. ha.

I saw a guy claim that Sutter will control Carcillo unlike the coaches at his previous spots. I think Carcillo getting traded or demoted to the minors is more likely than that happening.

All and all a pretty head scratching move by LA. If Clifford is indeed out the door and Carcillo is his replacement well that's a terrible move.

Makes Dustin Brown comparatively more likable?

Increases the ATFHPG (Average Terrible Facial Hair Per Game) rating by a minimum of 3.5?

They score that in fantasy leagues now.

I have no idea what the Kings want for Clifford but I would definitely be making a call to find out!

This isn't anything more than one person's opinion but it may be worthy of a read to some:

6. Philadelphia Flyers

I was really torn on the order of Pitt and Philly, because I think Philadelphia is an awesome city – the Penguins only stay ahead with the Crosby bump. Say what you want about Paul Holmgren’s moves, there’s going to be a lot of talent in orange sweaters next season. I think they’re going to be a playoff team the next few seasons, and I know they have great location for travel and great fans. They’re on the “prestigious organization” list. I’d go there in a heartbeat.

Any interest in Peter Mueller for the last top 9 forward spot? I assume he'd be pretty cheap.

It would probably be for future asset(s) since LA is tight against the cap with players still to sign (including Clifford). My guess a 2nd/3rd or a decent/good prospect would be what they're looking for.

I don't really see Clifford as an exact need and with his concussion history I would shy away personally.

I was wondering why no one snatched him up. The severe concussion history is an obvious answer. What's the big knock on him other than that? I'd assume his defense is bad? Poor attitude? I don't know, maybe a Florida fan could give a scouting report for us.
