Here it is. The Rangers have nothing that they are willing to part with to entice Toronto to give up JvR. Simple.

#1C for a 2nd line soft power forward?

Oh right, potential.

LOL, nothing about jvr is reminiscent of a 2nd line soft powerforward. Hes a proven top 6 power forward/grinder that gets to the dirty areas in order to score by any means necessary, if people think hes so bad, maybe you should stop making proposals. I know the idea of giving something of value to receive something of value is foreign around here, but ignorance is just a killer.

JVR has never once used his size to be a power forward. Another delusion Leafs fan.

I don't know what he was like in Philly but whenever i saw him in Toronto he was noticeably strong getting to the net and staying there.

They used him differently i believe. In Philly they just told him to go be a 2nd overall pick and in Toronto they told him to get comfortable in front of the net.

I don't know.

This was said on the first page of this thread. Now it's digressed into Ranger fans demeaning him in an ignorant fashion.

The only players that would warrant consideration are McDonagh and Stepan. Doesn't mean we'd trade JVR for either, but that warrants fair and legitimate consideration.

Anyone else is a no go.

He has no idea what he's talking about. Everytime he was on the PP, he was parked in front of the net battling the top defenseman down low night in and night out. I could go on, but I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt in it that you actually watch games.

He's a very skilled, big, yet speedy top 6 winger. Not a 4th line grinder.

7 Points in 7 playoff games vs the Bruins, don't know how you could characterize that as a 2nd line PWF .
